See there’s a random rumour page claiming Hyde is set to join Southend within the next 72 hours.

Same rumour page reckons we are signing Alex Reid on loan from Stockport. I can only assume that is utter bollocks?

I'd imagine the Reid rumours are nonsense. Although you never know with us these days!

Rumours at our end that we're after Sam Ashford from Crawley and Josh Rees from the Shots.

Don't know anything about Asford but think he was on loan at Woking last season?

Rees was a decent player when we had him on loan 5 years ago and I seem to remember positive posts on here from the Shots fans.

Also heard that Solihull have offered a double your money contract to Jake Andrews but not sure that's from the most reliable source.

Notts left back Jordan Barnett rumoured to be signing for us. Seems like he played a fair bit under Ardley but fell out of favour under Burchnall.

He wasn't the best at defending but not bad going forward. As mentioned Miller came in at LWB and he never got near the side again.

His m.o all over, just take a look back at his last stint with us where he'd clearly only been watching the top two divisions but 5 years before he rocked up.
Could be one incoming to buck the trend though, new goalkeeper. Phil says he's in talks with 3, two of which would be loans from premier league clubs.
Only issue I've got with that is that we already have a perfectly capable young goalkeeper in Seaden, I'd rather see him play than a 19 year old from the depths of Spurs youth team.

The first player in living memory we actually paid a fee for last summer from Brizzle City. One of only two players still under contract at Plainmoor so I'd hope we would demand a decent chunk of money for him. Seems settled down here though, he's signed for us four times (3 different loan spells before we bought him) so I think it's fair to say he likes it here.

It's was rumoured at our end a few days ago that you were after both Cameron and Whitfield. Both decent players but certainly not irreplaceable as evidenced by the fact that we finished second with both of them injured for most of the second half of the season.

Whitfield is a rare player at this level that Burchnall will actually know as well - was coming through Bradford’s youth system at the time IB was coaching there.

Rodrigues, Roberts and Whitfield would be… a fair set of options in the attacking midfield area.
