Harris and Ashton were hardly at the end of their careers and yet their performances dipped massively.

Highly doubt will you have the kind of dreadful season we had after losing to Newport, but I would't dismiss the impact that playoff defeats might have on your team. A strong start to the season, to try and put all that behind you will be crucial.

Aye but you never really added any quality either due to the fact Morrell was poor in the transfer market. We've already added Bogle and we have a big budget this season.

I also think there's a superb atmosphere about the club, there was absolutely no negativity towards the play-off defeat and that appears to have rubbed off on the players.

Think Palmer might have to sign a contract with Mansfield which I don't think he has. If he did go to Halifax, I wouldn't be too fussed.

He'll do ok for you I think.

Just breaks up play and passes it simple - with the odd Yaya Toure run in there for good measure! He was performing really well for us 2 seasons ago for the first half of the season and it looked like we had a really good player on our hands but his form nosedived alarmingly, he lost all confidence and looked a shadow of the player he was. Not 100% sure what happened there tbh but I seem to recall he was out for a month or two with injury and struggled to get going again.

It was a shame really because he's one of those players that you just can't help wanting to do well.

It will have to be a loan deal if so. Surely Fleetwood wouldn't sign a player on a one year contract only to let him clear off for a few months.

The quote on our forum says he moved to a Conference South side last year, not loaned - Kelvin Langmead a possibility? Was on loan with us in his early days and is originally from the Midlands. Not sure if he's tied up with Ebbsfleet though.

Liked big Mo a lot, a better version of Mendy imho, who as Luke got injured and was never the same player. Not sure if he fell out with Simpson as well, a lot of players did especially those who had been signed by Holdsworth previously and many were quickly got rid of by Simpson.

Not that I'm saying the rumour is true, because they hardly ever are, but why does a manager being on holiday stop a side signing a player? The manager could have already spoken to him before going away, spoken to the board that he is happy to sign the player when possible and still has a phone if needed, and the player signing on the dotted line doesn't need the manager to be present does it?

You're right, of course a player could still be signed while he's away. I've just been told movement isn't expected in the next few days although players are still being spoken to.

This one is put bull, the only reason people are saying it is because some Bristol Rovers fan said that we should try and sign him. Gods Gift is saying that but the GET said if all goes well we should have a signing early this week and that we will have a signing either tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday. We will soon find out.
