Rumours coming out that we are well and truly doing the dirty on Hednesford to get Jamey Osbourne.

Apparently we don't want to pay a big tribunal fee (as he was brought through their system) so he's going to sign for Redditch for a little while to make the tribunal cheap and when it's sorted we'll whisk him away.

It's all rumour at the minute fueled by facebook messages to him from fans (what the fuck has this world come to) but if it's true I'm disappointed and ashamed.

The boy has unfulfilled talent that's for sure but it's getting it out of him which seems to be a problem... not a surprise with the two clowns he had coaching him here. I rate him, other fans will call him inconsistent etc. Wouldn't mind him back tbh.

George Donnelly has left Tranmere by mutual consent, I should imagine he will be joining a Conference/Conference North side. I wouldn't mind him being added to our team of ex Rovers.

Marc Roberts, Lois Maynard, Matty Pearson, all big players for us, all brought on and developed by our club, all out of contract like Osbourne, and left for nothing! What comes around goes around.

The former is another striker, who seems to have spent 90% of his career out on loan, which is a good effort at 25.

Doubt Halifax have much money to pay out transfer/tribunal fees these days despite how little they could cost, they already have one tribunal to settle with us first.

We're not short of a bit of brass, the money is still coming in from the Jamie Vardy and Lee Gregory sales but why spend money you don't have to?

I think it's a case of being sneaky to not spend what we don't have to. We've got the cash I think and the fee for James to Chester will be next to fuck all - despite Burr crying every other day that he needs the money to strengthen.

I'd imagine the fee for James will end up at about £10-12k, roughly halfway between where we value him and what you've offered, I know for a fact that you offered £3k first time around, not sure what next time though. That tends to be how the tribunal system works, meet halfway.

Burr moans about our budget because admittedly we're tight, and with good reason, given our previous troubles and now that we're completely fan owned we won't risk anything. We've built up decent reserves and make a profit every year but it doesn't go back in to the playing budget. He's got a bit extra this year but it's only left over cup cash from last season, hardly anything really.

I remember once years ago back in our Championship days someone left us to go to a bigger club (can't remember player or club though, but sure one of the other GTFC fans on here will), when the tribunal gave us less than the club had already offered, and we had turned down!!
Jack Lester to Forest is coming up in my head but it might not be.

Was on trial with us last week, played 45 minutes in our friendly against Oldham. Looked ok, made a good save, although looked a little hassled in possession at times.

We had him in League 2 and he did very well for us in an awful team, hasn't really performed since though it seems. We have completed our forward line anyway now, so he won't be coming here.

Danny racchi is still on trial with us mainly due to the small squad mills is operating on. I would like to see him sign on at least based on the solid performances he has made

Our first team full backs are currently injured too so we could maybe do with some loan signings if mills doesn't want any more permanent olayer

Same goes for midfield. Sounds like we don't have many players doing the dirty work, which was always some people's fears

Talented player and technically very good, but lacks strength and consistency in his end product. His move to West Ham was predictably a train crash, nowhere near good enough for that level.
