I'm pretty sure that's just come from some bloke down the pub. But I do believe we've already got a bunch of players already signed up that we couldn't get in January.

It was confirmed today that Paul Benson and Scott Griffiths will be leaving Luton Town - the former almost certainly to be joining Dagenham & Redbridge under John Still... Aled Jelly.

Don't really want Benson back to be honest. He had a great stint here before and he won't be half the player he was when he left.

I'd be shocked given that he wants to go into the league and has promised not to sign for another conference side if he does leave..... but then this is football and nothing surprises me any more.

Personally, i would be concerned about a player who has a chance to rejoin his boyhood club in the FL and then changes his mind when the $£$£ are thrown his way. Its a huge geographical change too, so a big question mark as to whether it work out for him, if it happened?

Yeah the geographical bit would be a big surprise. The last time he left Barrow was to go to Grimsby and several Grimsby fans said it didn't work out partly because he got homesick - and if you get homesick going south to Grimsby, i'd be worried with Eastleigh being a long way further down.
we are rumoured (on our forum) to have offered him £1250/week + £250 per game + £250 per goal + £250 per win. Carlisles forum said we'd offered him £2000 - which kind of Tally's with our site, so you must be offering big bucks....

I don't know what he was on this season but i'd guess under £1000, but he has come on a lot this last 2 years - just look at some of his goals on the highlights thread

Its all about the Vision, if you can sell these players the Vision, then the wages just become a nice bolt on to the Visionary package....

I have a feeling that Cook will not come to us. Even if we offered 1k more per week than everyone else, is it really worth that to uproot to the sunny south?..That could be quite a "relocation package" added to any deal that could be made.
