Yes I remember the sending off, I thought he and Stubbs formed a decent partnership? They were very good in the win over Mansfield, as I recall. But then three days later both got badly bullied by Amond and Matt. We never quite recovered from that night tbh.

I’m hoping that fact that Coleman offered him a new contract suggests he’s toughened up and got used to men’s football.

Southend fans still seem adamant Hyde is joining them. Time will tell. I'd be more annoyed than I already am if that happens

The radio silence from the club on the player front is worrying. 5 players contracts have expired today and we have no clue if they've signed new deals or have left.

We've already lost key players in Earing and King (and to a lesser extent Clarke) and now this Hyde rumour won't go away.

Add to that no new signings, although that is the norm for us this time every year, it's a little concerning.

Yeah, we’re definitely in for him, was in our local paper a couple of weeks ago. Think the question was whether he actually had a future with you or the contract offer was more of a token ‘we can get a fee’.
