Rumours that we might be trying to sign Ollie Pearce from Worthing, who apparently scored goals for fun last season in their run to the play-off final.

Reminds me a bit of Matty Taylor when we got him from North Leigh, or Reece Styche when we got him from Chasetown. Both prolific at lower league level and turned out well for us.

Ollie Pearce has signed for York City.

He was their fourth signing of the day, joining goalkeeper Harrison Male (ex-Dorking, previously Worthing), defender Joe Felix (ex-Worthing) and winger Ashley Nathaniel-George (ex-Maidenhead). The manager of York was previously at Worthing, seems like he is rounding up former players from that club to join him. They could be an interesting team to watch next season...possible challengers?

I listened to a podcast he did on ‘I had trials once’ over the summer and he said the Oldham gaffer had told him then that he wasn’t going to be captain any more and game time would be limited, so probably linked to that
