We've apparently accepted various bids for James Alabi, but he has rejected a move to every single club, we've allowed him to speak to. The latest club he turned down last week was Torquay I was told.

someone on our forum who knows his relatives reckons Arlen Birch is signing for Barnet, after we allegedly offered and then retracted a contract to him as we have that Barnaby-Boyle on trial instead

Makes sense as we need a new RB. Is he any good?

Heard that we’ve had a big accepted and are now discussing personal terms with Josh Falkingham from Harrogate.

The guy who told us in advance about the JJ Hooper and Mark Harris signings has now told us that we're signing a defensive midfielder today. One of the 2 first team positions we need filling but I wonder who it could be.

Sounds like we're signing Adam Barton. Weird one, but a big lad in a position we need filling.

You stupid or what? Even if that were true it doesn't change the fact that Hartlepool are Kings of applying for re-election.

And if we are?
Your still in a league below us,get half our crowds & play in a ‘stadium’ that resembles a Wendy house.

The crowd sizes at Chesters ground are convenient for Railway Blue as he likes to leave games 10 minutes early and get home to his mail order bride.

There’s a rumour going round on our messagboard that Curtis Weston is Set to return to Barnet...

I’ll happily drive him there if he needs a lift

Please god let this be false. I waited for years to get rid of him!

Has he been poor for you guys? His performances in his 6 years here fluctuated heavily and he was awful at times but the good generally outweighed the bad. Generally his performances were in line with the rest of the team, when we played badly he was the worst player on the pitch but when we played well he would dominate the midfield. I thought he was decent when you beat us at THL earlier this year.

I can't see us wanting him back though as CM isn't our main problem area and he is getting on a bit. The only level on which it makes sense is if Fonguck is turning down a new deal (which is looking increasingly likely) as he does pick up a few goals from midfield.

We're getting a defender in on loan from Burnley - whoever he is, if he's anywhere near as good as the last two we've had from them (Jimmy Dunne and Tom Anderson), then he'll be very welcome indeed!

I can’t knock his professionalism, always available for games as he’s rarely injured, puts 100% in every time he plays but... I have never seen a worse passer of the football play for us in midfield. Honestly his passing is woeful as I’m sure you guys will be aware having endured 6 years of it!

He also has a tendency to drift from midfield and just ends up everywhere on the pitch leaving a gaping hole in the middle for opposition to play through. I believe he commutes aswell and is still based down south so a move back to London would probably make sense

He lives in Kent so I can see him signing for like a Bromley, Dover or Dag & Red

Can't see it being Dover. We've got 20 players already, & 9 trialists played in the 1st friendly

His passing has always been iffy, he's most effective in games where he's part of a quality midfield who can take the pressure to create off him - he's best at winning the ball and driving up the pitch.

When the rest of the midfield are poor he is completely useless. Has plenty of passion and is a leader in some respects, but seems to lose composure when the team are struggling.

Elliott Durrell is available according to his dad. Macclesfield have messed him around and because he was being linked with other teams they are using the excuse that he has been trying to manufacture a move to the reason why they are getting rid of him.

Askey will probably sign him for Vale, but any northern team in here would do well to sign him up

Would have Durrell back in a heartbeat. Still can't forgive the goon McCarthy for releasing him. Great player.

There’s only about 10 minutes until Macclesfield go out of business again then.

He’s fairly average, decent enough with the ball at his feet, not the strongest or quickest, can fill in at left back or centre mid. Not the worst signing at L2 level.

We had a couple of new trialists on show against Fleetwood yesterday (along with Barnum Bobb and the keeper)

Michael Chambers previously of Dulwich Hamlets, who looked decent.

And a Portuguese winger called Vasco Lopez who I wasn't as keen on. Big, reasonably quick and has a few tricks though so you never know.

Hooper looked really good. I think we might actually score goals this season. FEAR US

We have Kyel Reid and Dion Kelly-Evans, formerly of Cov and Kettering, on trial at Nuneaton today
