Seb Haller has been linked from Utrecht, 14 goals in the last 17 Eredivisie games. Sunderland have also been linked, but given we've been after him for a while I'd hope we'd be able to seal the deal.

Gutted to lose Gray, but £9m is a lot of money for a forward. We have lost our 3 best attacking players from last year though, Pritchard, Gray & Jota.
Where has Jota gone?

Think that puts the final nail in the coffin of our promotion hopes for this season, but undoubtedly leaves us in a much stronger position long term.

Need a couple of top quality signings to come in sharpish, if not more.

Get a grip man, we're only in August!

What a hypocrite Sean Dyche is. Moaning about how much Championship teams are spending on players saying they can't compete, then he goes and spends 9m on Andre Gray.

8 strikers Burnley have now, wonder how they can afford the wages? Would be hilarious to see them fail FFP after all that.

To be fair this was mostly my response, minus the negativity towards Saint Dyche.

I haven't seen much from Gray. I'm hoping to be wrong, but I imagine we've paid significantly over the odds. I just don't get why we were so tight fisted last year when there was arguably a better case for spending some cash. And now we're suddenly acting like we're rolling in the mula.

I'm also really interested to see how we fit all our new strikers in. We're going to be lining up 2-2-6 at this rate.

Burnley, BURNLEY have signed a striker for nine million pounds, everything is fucked, it's about time some sort of super virus wiped everything out

£3m bid for Forestieri gathering pace. Alan Nixon reporting it now. Would be ideal.

Wow, not getting the best of luck this season. What's with your players and long term injuries?
It's the bloody pitch xD

Suprised we haven't bid for Sam Morsy yet, we've been linked with him and he scored 2 goals on Sunday, seems like a good player. It's gone quiet on that one though.

Can't believe Burnley signed Andre Gray: guess who we next face at home! :(

Anything can happen, but given all the changes, I doubt it can come together enough to get us promoted!
Not saying the changes are bad, just maybe too many too quickly. Not the fault of the management just the way the chips have fallen.

£9m for Andre Gray? Right where's Lancyclaret to tell Derby they can't pass FFP spending that amount of money?....... Oh, it was Burnley. :ffs:

He's too busy designing his luxury dream home, to discuss FFP this week. Just a coincidence.

£7m + £2m + sell ons.

That takes our transfer fees received this summer to £12.75m-£14.75m. Outrageous seeing as those players sold cost us £2m all in. We're hopeful of 4 new players in and I'm hopeful of a play-off push again.

We'll definitely miss Gray but we've also signed the German U21 striker for £800,000 :)

Minus £1.3m ish to Luton though (and a further £400,000 if the £2m in add-ons comes in).
Yes - you guys are getting a decent amount, and rightly so. We've also got sell-on clauses for Gray, Dallas and Odubajo. Gray may or might not sell for more than the £9m, but I have every belief we'll make an extra wedge out of the other two, especially Moses who only went for £3.5m!

And you got some extortionate amount for Grigg as well (sadly not off us). Some clubs have too many strikers and we have Simon Church :2thumb:

Good skilful player but a bit inconsistent and a little lightweight.

Sure Wolves fans will give him a warm welcome..

Adds some quality should he join and also, there shouldn't be ridiculous pressure on him either as we have good players going forward already so someone else can step in if he's not on song.

Would be a very useful signing for us I reckon.

And now, randomly, the Limbombe move seems back on. Article on NEC's official website saying he's been left out of their squad due to our interest.

Surely we're not gonna buy two more attacking players at a cost of over £5m? :conf:

Chris Powell having a little moan about "the way we're going about it" regarding Butterfield. Didn't elaborate, but also didn't sound too confident they'll keep hold of him.

We've made it clear from day one though, we are not going public about any bids for players. It's the selling clubs decision to go public, its like saying if you don't want us to keep coming back with bids, then just accept the offer?

And btw, who does Sean Dyche think he is, the hypocrite.

Probably looks like Butterfield is off if Derby, as expected hit our valuation of him this week.

Seriously underrated player in this league.

Heard we want Hourihane and Woods from Barnsley and Shrewsbury.

Blackburn in for Vaughan too.

Don't rate Hourihane from what i've seen, hyped up because he smashes in screamers now and then. Generally anonymous.

Ryan Woods is very good though.

The latest player on the merryground of strikers who are going to reject us appears to be Matej Vydra
