Bolton have more chance of getting Michael Laudrup out of retirement than landing Odegaard.

We could sign Benzema and he'd still make Danny Webber look like Jairzinho.

"Wolves and Burton Albion are battling it out to sign Ivan Toney on loan"

So many things wrong with that statement.

He's already had talks with Albion and looks like he will be heading hear in 2or 3 weeks once Riviere is fit again at Newcastle. Hasselbaink and Maclaren are mates. Can't see anything wrong with the statement myself. Toney is more likely to get game time at the Pirelli and he knows the club having been on the losing side twice against us last season.

It's probably due to the fact Wolves are 'competing' with Burton for a player, let's be reyt though most players given that choice would pick Wolves regardless.

Maybes but a young striker at 19 years of age would think he could learn a lot from JFH.
We in fact have a player on loan from Wolves currently ! "reyt as ninepunce" what you saying though.

It was more an ironic statement due to the fact we were about to sign Ivan Toney permanently 2 years ago but he failed a medical with us after agreeing a contract, and now were trying to loan him. Also it makes me laugh that we want another attacking midfielder, since we already have about 50 as it is.

As for us competing for players with Burton, I guess it just shows how far they have progressed recently. For what it's worth he'd probably want first team football at Burton with a decent manager like JFH than sitting on our bench for yes-man Jackett.

I knew Wolves had tried to sign him but didn't realised he failed a medical. Saw him twice last season against us and was quite impressed, I would class him as an out and out striker to be honest and he would fit in well here, JFH would be trusted by Maclaren to develop him seeing as they are mates.

Bridcutt seems likely to come in next week. A few suggestions of Lewis Grabban too but think that's just guesswork.

Wolves reported signing Lewis Grabban from Norwich (on loan?)

Pretty effective Championship forward, so long as you can tolerate all the missed chances. He will work his arse off and will create plenty of openings to make up for the many chances he'll miss.

We've got Dillon Powers on a two week trial from Colorado Rapids. Attacking midfielder apparently.

Club have announced the trial when they normally keep them very quiet, so perhaps they think he has a good chance of joining?

Grabban and KJ working together again would be an odd one, as their working relationship was not exactly healthy at Millwall.

Former Wolves player Kevin Foley training with us.

Was always a solid pro for us. He was Mr consistent for us for a good 3/4 years, and was voted our player of the year in 08/09 season when we went up. Like that he always keeps his head down and he was one of few players who wasn't responsible for our demise when we had 2 successive relegations.

Likeable player who has played played the majority of his career in this league or the prem, but not sure if he's good enough anymore.

As long as he's good enough for the bench for a few months that's all we ask.

No way would he come into the side, but it would provide competition / cover as we're quite short of players in some positions currently due to injuries.

Ready to step up our interest in Matt Smith if he's not in the new Fulham managers plans.

So many things wrong with that statement.

Mainly the bit about Ivan Toney. Saw him three times last season and wasn't impressed.

Fed up with this 'loaning players' shit. We should have done business in the summer.

Ricardo Vaz Te signed until the end of the season.

Wolves and Charlton trying to sign Yoan Gouffran on loan.

Also RvLP's move to Bolton has collapsed due to a supposed imminent takeover of their club.

Callum Woods has signed a two year contract extension at North End, happy with that, he's been quality flling in at centre back this season and he's solid at right back or left back.

Because when they are taken over they will be able to afford expensive wingers. Because that's the way to reverse more than £150 million in debt. Suspect RVLP will end up in League 1 with the likes of Bury or Walsall, where he could do well. Or with a big team like Pompey, FGR or Eastleigh.
