Matt Smith would be a decent option for a number of Champ teams, not sure why it isn't working at Fulham

Been injured nearly all season. Was in their first team and scoring at the start, and has only recently came back.

Wish we still had Matt Smith. Showed he wasn't a lost case with us in his debut season at this level. Goes to show when most of our fans didn't want him to leave. I reckon quite a few wouldn't mind Wood going...and he's supposedly a Championship calibre striker.

Rumours that we're in for Jason Pearce from Wigan.

Luke Hyam joining Rotherham on loan until January, should be a good move for all parties.

Signed Bridcutt. Buckley gone back to Sunderland. Big waste of time that one.

Signed James Vaughan on a month's loan.

Edit: And Greg Halford.

Suppose I should add that Tony Watt has joined Cardiff on loan.

Why let him go? Always looked dangerous against us

Your guess is as good as mine.

Just another crazy decision made by our board, there are rumours of him having a rubbish attitude though. On his day, he is by far our best player and probably one of the best in the division, to loan him to another side in the same division is lunacy in my opinion.

Why have Huddersfield let him go? Always had him down as one of their better players
Sicknote, never fit. Might also free up some money to get a loanee in.

Having said that, I wouldn't have minded signing him

Expected a better calibre for you given your league position but I assume your budget is dictating this.

Greg Halford doesn't half get around Championship sides, he should go for all 24.

Cracking signing. Was very high up on my wishlist

Same here. Suggests there's a lot of belief from Man Utd that Brighton are going to maintain the pace.

Edit: Still, I'm not all that bothered tbh: we have Grant Holt. Potah-to, potay-to. :eye:

Brighton make a really good signing in James Wilson and then make a shit one in Rajiv Van La Parra. Only thing he did last season was score a decent goal vs them so they probably think he's a world beater...

Couple for us, van La Parra, err.. weird one. Not really even in need of further wide options. Not notably anyway.

James Wilson though for the remainder of the season, very happy with that. Just the sort of signing in attack we were hoping for. With further plans for strengthening in January I'd imagine, depending on how things are looking.

Well, it's about capitalising on our current position really, isn't it? Bringing in someone like Wilson gives us a greater chance of maintaining the pace as you put it. No point just sitting still, patting ourselves on the back for exceeding expectations whilst watching the usual suspects clean up the best available players in the transfer window.

Think Birmingham have done similarly sound business bringing in James Vaughan. I know he went right off the boil at Huddersfield but I expect Gary Rowett to get plenty from him playing in a confident, attacking side. (injuries permitting of course)
