Sounds like they've just gone "f*** FFP, let's spend as much as we can while everyone else is still trying to keep costs down so we get a massive advantage"

Anything QPR can do, Derby can do better?

And ??

lol

Where's ALL this jealousy and bitterness come from from our fellow clubs ???

:dk::dk:
Why would I not be jealous? You've spent nearing 25m this season, we've got a squad of about 14.

Is it shameful to be? I think not.

We just want to be able to complain about another club after last season all of league 1 bitching at us for spending less money than we had in player sales.

Aim your jealousy at Man Citeh or Manc United or Chelski ... or The Arse .. they've all sold thier soul to foreign ownership and have been pumped to the hilt with stupid money to spend ...,.

Why pick on us ??

We've an ENGLISH owner ...

How many clubs in the prem can say that ?
The premier league has a stupid amount of money pumped into it which encourages the foreign owners. Regardless of the nationality of an owner in the championship £25m is a ridiculous amount of money to spend in the second division, I would wonder out of interest how much the rest of the division has spent combined.

Take out Middlesbrough and Burnley, and it's probably not far off.

Haven't a clue about this boy.

Stinks of a similar Medi Abalimba transfer a few years back, paid Oldham or whoever it was a million or 2 and never played a game. Pointless.

Who's keeping the costs down like? Boro? Hull? Burnley? Brighton? Compared to the squads and budgets of the teams mentioned there it's hardly a "massive advantage". There's plenty more clubs at this level willing to splash the cash too.

We'll be no where as bad as QPR were. 67 million pound loss in the Championship? Not for a few years yet.

A championship club has bid for Chesterfield Sam Morsy, confirmed not to be Wolves, rumours it's either us or Ipswich

Oh shit, we needed another midfielder aswell, He would have been a nice addition to the other 70 we already have.

Linked with Gabby Agbonlahor too. It's probably bullshit as it always is mind, wish we were after the great Jonson Clarke Harris though, we can but only dream of such a signing.

Derby can spend what they want for me.

Make sure you go up and sign a couple of centre halfs and then in your kindness give us Rawson permanently, thanks :)

When has Jonson Clarke-Harris ever rejected us, or a better question is when have we ever made a bid or declared our interest for him?

Genuinely would rather have Leon Clarke over JCH.

When we signed him, I know you live in this perfect work where Wolves get what they want all the time.

That really does show how intelligent you are. Slag JCH all you want you must have seen him twice at most, when he does fulfill his potential, I expect an apology and JCH deserves one too.

Go on I'll give you a chance to back your facts up. Please find me a reliable source of where:

A) Wolves have declared an interest in in signing JCH
B) JCH has openly rejected a move to Wolves

PS, fan forum gossip pages don't really count i'm afraid.

No ones even got close to the £25m you've spent. Lots of clubs would want to spend a lot more I'm sure, but are sticking to the rules of FFP, it's one of the reasons we sold Gray. The fact you guys now seem to just be ignoring the rules does give you a massive advantage (a squad that was pretty good already, and then without any outgoings has £25m of talent pumped into it)

As others have said, you must have spent close to what 15-20 odd clubs in this division have spent put together

Yes I'm sure Jonson Clarke Harris is an avid reader on this forum. I'll make sure people queue up to apologise to him for labeling him a shit footballer. Must've hurt his feelings...

:dk::dk:
It would be quiet jealousy if you guys weren't breaking the rules. Given you are and are giving yourselves a massively unfair advantage, it turns from quiet jealousy to a small amount of anger.

None of which is directed against Derby fans, enjoy it while it lasts, and it may well pay off. But I hope if you do come back down and have failed FFP then you get hit with a massive fine like QPR should be (if that doesn't happen, there are going to be a lot of compensation legal battles from pretty much every other club...)

Don't forget, they knocked you out of the play offs back when you were playing by the FFP rules. I imagine there was a certain amount of jealousy and anger among your support when that happened?

Some (bad) transfer news for us:

Dorian Devrite and Dean Moxey linked from Bolton. Sheff Wed supposedly trying to hijack our bid for Mike Williamson too.

I'm hoping that our newest (lee) member hasn't pissed you off to start throwing things around like that. I thought I would ellieviate your FFP queries.

For about 5 years now our board of directors (GSE and now Mel Morris) have backed FFP consistently. We were one of the clubs in favour of its introduction and have defended it in the past to changes.

I admin that on the face of it, our transfer spending is massive. In fact, I don't think we've ever spent this much during 1 season in my lifetime. Our owner though, Mel Morris, has always said we are within FFP regulations st every fan forum. Indeed when the accounts are released in the past it's always backed it up. He is an astute business man so I'm pretty sure that any loopholes will be exploited. On top of this, we have the highest average attendance in the league, been on sky multiple times, have the biggest stadium sponsorship deal in the league and one of the highest commercial incomes. This drives additional revenue through the club that's being reinvested.

Now in case Mel has decided to sweep FFP aside and just take any hit or suffer an embargo, then I think we deserve everything we get by gambling to get to the premiership.

Edit: just wanted to add that most transfer fees now are spread over the lifetime of the contract of that player. Clubs budget on income and expenditure are now done to take this account. Bare in mind that we've spent hardly any money before this season on transfer fees (George Thorne the only one at about £2m)!then we have only a few contractual commitments for paying.

If I'm honest, I don't think this ever came up - the performance was topic of discussion.

Reading have enquired about taking Alex Pearce back on loan. Don't see why this won't happen, given he's played once. Not really sure why we even signed him.
