Agreed, he's not at Garner's level and he's struggled a bit with the step up.

It's worrying that i'm not sure if Bradshaw is as good as Eoin Doyle was in League One and he's as much use as a trout flopping about in the penalty box.

Tbf to Garner I don't think his lack of goals are a reflection on him at all. He is basically a penalty box king, put the ball in there and he will get goals or at least cause enough problems to give somebody else a chance of one. However since moving up a division I reckon we probably create about 25% of the chances for him we did a level below.

As for Bradshaw I wouldn't bother, at the money required to get him he's way too much of a gamble for us, especially after buying May. I'd rather we spent 500k across two young strikers down in L2 or the Conference.

Agree, with our narrow system and Gallagher in the middle of the park so often we put in a pitiful amount of crosses, we could have Andre Gray and I don't think he would be in double figures.

If Garner was playing for someone like Ipswich, Birmingham or dare I say Burnley *spit* then i've no doubt he would score consistently.

Bradshaw is more important to us than £800k as this juncture, with another year left on his deal. Obviously it's a no brainer on your end as it's a risk and quite the splash out if he turns out to be poor in the Championship. However, with a year left on his deal and a more consistent goal record at a very similar age then I see no reason why our club won't turn around and say 'Match what QPR paid for Washington or take a walk' - albeit Washington had more time on his deal, so something less than that. If they paid what - £2.75m for Washington, then £2m is at least the asking price for Bradshaw.

There is not a single chance on earth we accept £800k, when you have Washington, Assombalonga etc setting the price bar in recent years. We have one of the least club debts in the entire of the Football League and have good assets all over the pitch with a good shot at promotion and almost £8m in TV money...local derby's, increased gate money to think about. If Bonser accepts anything less than £1.5+ for Bradshaw, he isn't a very clever business man.

Literally the only reason a club would turn their nose up at splashing on Bradshaw is because we aren't a fashionable club...nobody wants to read 'My club pay X MILLIONS for Walsall player, not those with a tight chairman, no money and no fans' yet, Posh fans will tell you they are laughing at the fee they received for Washington as in his their words 'he isn't a 7 figure player and was cack last season'.

Matt Smith's a goer, but not quite sure what for. Could be for Agard, or could be a fee but the club are silenced on the matter.

Assuming you got this from AS? But, if the club are silent about it, how does he know?

Don't know, I daren't question his sources. He said that there hasn't been a formal bid agreed but they're planning a deal. Make of that what you will.

Fair enough mate.

Hope he's right, even if it involves swapping Agard I think it's probably a good move for us.

I would like to thank my team mates and fans at Reading FC and wish all the best for the future. @ReadingFC

Apparently going to Macobi Tel Aviv for £600k and a 40% sell on. We paid £1m for him in the Summer. I imagine Yann Kermorgant was his replacement signing.

Can Grant Holt still move on his own accord?

Very tenuous rumour on a forum that we might be bringing him in on loan.

I weirdly think he could be an ok signing, Garner looks miles better with a big man alongside him, played his best football for us alongside Kevin Davies.

Bolton's local paper also saying we're favourites to sign Liam Feeney, with Charlton also interested.

Despite Feeney being one of Bolton's lowest earners, we can't match what he's on according to the LEP.

No wonder they're so fucked.

What do you think the chances are of us keeping Samuel for the rest of the season?

Unless we get a few injurys up front then i can see Samuel staying at Gillingham for the rest of the season. Has he been playing well for you?

Depends on how our transfer targets go over the next few days.

As it stands we only have Kermorgant, Vydra and Cox upfront. The latter two both leaving in the Summer.

We are linked to other strikers and if we sign more I reckon Samuel will stay. Far more beneficial for him to play 90 minutes every week with you than 10 minute substitute cameos with us.

Yes he's had a big impact. We'd be in the shit if he did leave to be fair, as of our 4 strikers (including Samuel), Cody McDonald is injured til about April, Rory Donnelly got an injury in the warm up on saturday, and Luke Norris is only just coming back from a quite serious ankle injury! There was talk a while back on our forums of some sort of swap deal involving Samuel + cash for Dack - don't know if you heard anything about that?

Thought he looked a decent player at the start of the season. Some fans moaning that McDermott hasn't given him a chance to show what he can do but even Clarke wasn't starting him very often. His last start was against Bolton back in November. Wouldn't surprise me if there were issues with him behind the scenes. When we signed him there was a Reading fan on our forum who gave an account of his time in Poland, which gave the impression that if Sa wasn't starting games then he could be disruptive. Sounded like his missus was strugling to live over here as well.

Did here a rumour we were interested in Dack but not as a swap deal involving Samuel + cash. Got enough midfielders at the moment although that may well change in the summer when Fernandez goes back to Spain and rumours Norwood could be sold. I hope we don't sell Samuel as he looks like a real talent.

Matt Smith deal depends on whether Dembele or McCormack get shifted - don't think anything will happen for the next few days on that front.

Gaston Ramirez has gone on loan to Middlesbrough. Hopefully the catalyst for Birmingham to sign Fabbrini...

Remember when Ramirez was considered a decent prospect and we spent £12m on him. :(

Huddersfield gone back in with a second bid for Van La-Parra. I know Wolves have more wingers than half of the league put together, but why would they sell one of their better ones?

Must mean they're not keen on keeping Paterson. We are trying to cash in, think Brentford were keen.

Marcus Olsson has now signed. #TooManyPlayers

We did need cover at left back mind, and Warnock is too old to expect to play every game.

I think you'd be better off with the Olsen twins at the back, at least they'd distract the opposition strikers
