Canos had a great year on loan with us, huge talent. He's got a massive future, only 18 or 19 I think so a great investment for any team in this league with a bit of dosh.

The Liverpool Echo ran near enough the same story (contract stuff) a month ago but it was a £4m fee quoted and qpr amongst a host of other championship clubs being interested. I reckon it's agent trying to drum up interest as nothing came from the one a month ago. Qpr big money team named, we made big bids last year so understandable for us to get named. Another promising youngster you let go last season (or the one before) was Jordan Graham. Was one of the best players last season (certainly for us). 8 assists and 1 goal in 9 games was seriously impressive, and broke a club record for the 8 consecutive assists. Shame he got a horrific injury after that otherwise I'm sure he would have got a big money move somewhere this summer.

Might be worth keeping your youngsters for a bit, most of them on that basis will be good enough for this league.

Looks like we're replacing him with 1860 Munich captain Christopher Schindler for around a similar price.

3x German captains from last season in Löwe, Hefele and Schindler signed up - things are looking a lot more promising for us!

Given he's so young, and has undoubted potential, I would say so if you were willing to stick with him and give him the time / games to develop. I wouldn't expect a "£2.5m player" right away, but I can't imagine he wouldn't be worth paying that eventually.

Wages seem to be the reason we dropped out, and why Liverpool dropped out.

We'll see if anything materialises then. Would be a top signing. Pricey especially given his age, but if his goals get you up what you signed him for will be peanuts in comparison to the rewards you'll reap.
