Signing Kyle Bartley on loan. Apparently he's shite so glad we are bolstering our already weak central defence...

Was decent for Birmingham I think a few years back?

Dunno but Swansea fans don't like him at all and apparently one of Monk's problems was his favouritism of Bartley.

Although just looking, he didn't make loooads of appearances for them (not sure if he got injured though)

Just a bit of a shame if our attempt to fix one of our weakest areas is with someone not rated but I guess the prem is a different kettle of fish...

Reading have had a bid under 100k for Ben Coker turned down, also showed an interest in Ryan Leonard before the change of management. You lot can fuck off!

Brentford when are you signing Bentley?

Villa apparently in for McCormack as well. As much as they've been in a complete mess recently they're going about things the right way with their transfer targets.

Yeah, Forshaw would be a solid signing for anyone at this level, maybe bar Newcastle and Villa.

Still no announcements of signings at our end, manager's been quoted as saying he's hoping 2 or 3 will be confirmed by July 1st, mainly on frees, which matches what I've heard before then. Would be incredibly surprised if Sawyers wasn't one of them
Egan will be one of them.
Apparently the clubs have been haggling over a fee and can't agree, so it will go to a tribunal as his contract has expired.

Haven't heard of the Leonard link, but is Coker any good? And how much would he cost? I'm not sure he'll be first choice for us, but there is the potential for him to be.

Tommy Spurr signs on a three year deal, seems a solid signing, cover for left back and can play in the centre as well, will come in handy when we play a back three.

Nicking players from Blackburn is amusing.

According to the man himself on Twitter we had offered Tomlin a contract he was happy to accept and we've gone and changed the offer.

Just saw that. Why offer something after weeks of negotiations and then all of a sudden change it when he would of signed the fucking deal offered originally?! Playing with fire here and I wouldn't be surprised if tomlin and his agent pull out completely

For fuck sake.

I saw LJ down here about half hour ago wandering about, went and said hello, my old man asked about Tomlin and he just laughed - and then this comes out.

Mind you, Tomlin's a fucking idiot for sharing this on social media. Exactly the problem that Bournemouth had with him.

If England balls this up tonight it'll be one shit night.

Lee Johnson just as bad though with the wages dig in the evening post.

Tbh it seems to me that this is a publicity between the 2, City know that he won't come , Tomlin goaded them to bid and now Tomlin is disputing terms

If he signs he will be very surprised

IF this is true, surely the blame is down to Ashton? He has said publicly that LJ finds the players and he agrees the finances. Bloody 'DNA' blah blah blah. Frigging 'tinpot' more like. Just say we can't afford him and tell the bloody truth.
I am absolutely raging!!

We CAN afford Tomlin Walkley, that's the frustration. Our owner is bonkers rich yet we penny pinch on the bigger deals. Last summer, we supposedly had deals sorted with Andre Grey and Harry MacGuire and their clubs then changed the offer to both players at the last minute.
really, really frustrating.
As for Canos, he's after a fair bit less that Tomlin by all accounts but, no doubt we'll agree to his £10K, get him down here, then change it to a fiver and all the cider he can drink. :hb:

Whether Lansdown is bonkers rich is irrelevant, it's what he will plug in to the club, seems like your all fur coat and no knickers, show a bit of leg to get a lad interested then reveal you're actually 50 and have a battered minge

Gray not Gayle

The finance rules unless the club get promoted will damage the club for a few seasons

Wages mate.

Lansdown's heavily reluctant to hand out ridiculous wages because of what happened under McInnes; we went down with the second highest wage bill in the division and got ourselves into millions of pounds worth of debt.

Gutted if Tomlin doesn't come off, we'll see what our ambition really is. To be honest, I'm more annoyed about the Tomlin news than England, how fucking predictable was that?!

I understand this point of view but hold a different one. If he's asking for more than we can afford, say no and move on. He's good, don't get me wrong but he's not worth putting the club into (familiar) financial trouble for. If we can't afford him or he won't accept our offer, say thanks for last season and move on. If earning very high money is his motivation maybe he's not for us?
