Isn't there a clause that you have to play him in 75% of your games? Is this true?

Would be a worry considering he hardly set league one alight.
Yes, there is - clause that Liverpool apply in every loan players contract that they send out.

Reason we can't get Matthews in permanently is because Sunderland have been waiting all summer to get a right back in, and not let him go until they did. We got fed up, threatened to move on, and he's joined here on loan with a view to a permanent, but with a recall option, as Billy Jones is their only other right back. Expect him to come here permanently in January if he impresses again.

Abraham deal has been reportedly hijacked by Real Betis. Shame, but nothing you can do when you're competing with clubs like that.

Been linked with Conor Coady. Anything at your end Wolves fans?

Really hope we get this Almen Abdi deal over the line, pretty much completes our midfield and completely deems McGugan surplus to requirements. Just a left back and centre half short now but would like to see a few players like Lachman and Bus moved on now.

Abdi should be a great signing for you. Especially as his wikipedia page states "Abdi once chased a haggis with all his clothes of in the Shetland islands and managed to play bagpipes at the same time."

Kent is blisteringly quick and is a very tricky winger. His end product is poor though. Will be a good signing for Barnsley.

We didn't have that clause with Canos...

I didn't say you did, it's started to be implemented from this summer. That's why the Brannagan to Wigan deal fell through, as they wouldn't agree to the terms.

Haven't read it anywhere like just on that Sky Sports Transfer Centre. Probably just lazy journalism to be honest mate.

Wells not included in Huddersfield's squad tonight, rumoured to be off for roughly £5m.

I doubt they'll want to sell, but Wells must think he can do better than Huddersfield.

Really? He went on a decent run at the back end of last season, but for the first part of the season their fans were saying he wasn't up to it. I remember when we beat them at their place, I was reading their forum after and he was getting some absolute pelters.

Rated him when he was at Bradford, and seems about average in this league. I'd have him at Wolves but not for anywhere near the 5m quoted. He's worth 2... 2 and a half mill max.

In todays market, what we think of as a £2.5M player is probably nearer £5M. It's daft money nowadays.
That said, Wells has always impressed me, he can finish and he's quick. That to me is a Championship striker.

He's looking like a direct replacement for Isgrove. Will probably be him and Hammill on the wings with both comfortable playing on left or right.

Good pair of wingers for this division. Surprised that you haven't gone back in for Isgrove?

Really? I thought he was exactly what it says on the tin, a right sided full back ie a defender. His block at Fulhan when we were under the cosh was top class. Once he was fit, I thought he was excellent although he was blatantly not match fit when he came to us.
Having him on loan seems like a 'win win' for us TBH. I'm very happy with this.

Upgrade on what we've got mate so I won't be complaining about it at all, just hope he can perform to a higher standard this time round. Thought he had poor games at Fulham, Hull and Brentford in particular last season. (I know the Fulham block was vital though so I can't thank him enough for that!)

Hasn't played all pre season and probably won't start games until late August according to Wägner.

Would be a kick in the teeth if he was to go, I'd expect at least £7million for him. A player who has scored 14 & 18 goals at this level in the past couple of seasons is worth at least that to us.

The mighty Rams!!!
It was only tongue in cheek anyway geez. Swings and roundabouts this game, we'll all take turns being on the scrap heap followed by a rosey spell or two.

Buxton to Wigan confirmed.
A shame to see him go but probably the best move for his career. What a stint he has had as well as the transformation. Probably the only modern day footballer who turns up to training with his boots in a Co-Op carrier bag and not a gucci one.

Legend. All the best Bucko.

Good luck to Bucko. Puts footballers to shame with his passion and desire. Will always be remembered !

Nakhi Wells is easily worth £5m in today's inflated market.

3 deals to be confirmed in the next couple of hours.

Defensive midfielder Pele is signing from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.

Helda Costa a winger from Benfica (on loan at Monaco last season) signing on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Finally Silvio, a right back from Atletico Madrid (on loan to Benfica last season) signing on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Ivan Cavaliero of Monaco due to sign before the end of the week.

Not heard of any bar the latter, but if they're at Benfica they can't be that bad. Always dreamed of Wolves signing Pele
