Good luck to wolves, player values and wages are about to go through the roof for whoever you bid for.

Will be interesting to see if they can go up even if they spend something like £40-50m. Not the best season to have a go given all the strong teams there are down here.

Joshua, what a name lol.

Ever type someone's name and it just looks/sounds weird as fuck?
Oh fuck off
Lescott is a useless fuck.

Bacuna's free kicks are overrated, scored a screamer against Man City once and lived off it ever since.

Guzan is shocking. A howler a game generally at minimum last season, quite often capitalised upon too. There's a reason we signed Gollini!
Guzan wasn't bad before last season, right?

I assume Mark will be protesting with his FFP flag and banner outside Molineux from now on after the hard time he has given me and my football club for spending big... :animatedf:

To be fair we haven't spent anything yet, and if when we do I doubt we'll spend as much as Derby have in the last 2 years.

Looks a bit like Jermaine Pennant.

Buxton deal done, will probably be announced tomorrow. Apparently sniffing around Joe Garner as well, I don't think the papers realise that our days of paying 7 figure fees for 28 year olds with no resale value are over.

We also might be losing Jason Pearce, Charlton are interested and he's a Londoner. That would be an huge blow for me. Our best defender and a real leader for us.

I saw the link to Pearce over the weekend.

With your comments in mind, what sort of fee would we be looking at and would he really want to drop back to league one if he is still likely to be getting first team action at Wigan?

Jason Pearce is excellent, definition of a proper centre back. Too good for League One.

Been useless for 2-3 seasons now. He was ousted by a 70 year old Given before he went off to Stoke, then was ousted by Mark fucking Bunn ffs.

Don't think they'd be a big fee involved at all if any, due to his age. I could be wrong but this sounds like a personal move, Pearce has two young kids and having spent a large amount of time up north may simply wish to move back down south. He's not the type that has an ego and probably won't mind about what division he plays in as long as his wages are similar. We can hardly say no to him so have probably moved quickly to replace him with what sounds like a very similar player in Buxton. If I'm wrong and we've decided to simply make him surplus to requirements then that for me is a mistake but with the clubs he's being linked with all Southern, I'm pretty sure it's a personal move.

I'd still be gutted to lose him along with the majority of our fans. He stayed with us at our lowest point and helped us get straight back up. Puts his head in where it hurts, no ego and will help lead a team the right way.

This was my first thought when I saw the link, but it has come from Rich Cawley of the South London Press and he is generally quite good for our stuff and doesn't usually name names unless there is something in it.

I suppose being interested in him is not the same as actually having any chance of getting him.

He sounds like exactly the sort of player we need. With everything going on at the club we need leaders with big personalities. Roger Johnson tries but frankly he's a complete wanker and terrible footballer.

Hope there is something in this one then.

Scored a free kick from the half way line for Cardiff. He did fairly well at Celtic, then went to Sunderland and I think he was injured almost immediately and then couldn't regain fitness or form for the Premier League. Should definitely do well in the Championship.

Guess work or ITK bud? I know you have contacts in the media so I hope you don't mind me asking?

We had him on loan at the end of last season so know exactly what we would be getting. I would be very happy with this signing.

I've got a feeling Cardiff might be sniffing as well. They were after a RB earlier in the summer IIRC.
They signed Jazz Richards from Fulham the other week mate.

That's good news for us.
I wait with baited breath then!
Good player is Matthews.
Likewise mate, been waiting for Matthews to come here all summer, thought he was very good in the majority here.

Looks like its going to be on loan for the season. Very happy with that, rather it permanently but not the end of the world. Money we save can go elsewhere. Only a couple short by my reckoning. First 11 complete.

Quite glad it's only a loan given I wasn't convinced by him

I can only assume Sunderland are paying part of his salary. Works for us.

Really? I thought he was exactly what it says on the tin, a right sided full back ie a defender. His block at Fulhan when we were under the cosh was top class. Once he was fit, I thought he was excellent although he was blatantly not match fit when he came to us.
Having him on loan seems like a 'win win' for us TBH. I'm very happy with this.

Tiote looks all but out the door. Set for a team from UAE that I can neither say, spell or be bothered to copy and paste. With his departure, and that of Wijanldum's, it really is going to increase our need for midfielders.

It was only tongue in cheek anyway geez. Swings and roundabouts this game, we'll all take turns being on the scrap heap followed by a rosey spell or two.

Buxton to Wigan confirmed.
A shame to see him go but probably the best move for his career. What a stint he has had as well as the transformation. Probably the only modern day footballer who turns up to training with his boots in a Co-Op carrier bag and not a gucci one.

Isn't there a clause that you have to play him in 75% of your games? Is this true?

Would be a worry considering he hardly set league one alight.

Fair play to Barnsley but I wouldn't want us to take anyone on with those terms.
