Maybe, not sure about Melo though think he'll turn out to be a good player for us!

Anyone else linked with Spanish, Portuguese or any other overseas players?

It's funny how people still ask "will he adapt to English football?"

Last couple of seasons we've upped our efforts of scouting abroad, it's how we brought in Kodjia from French 2nd division, the new Bayern Munich keeper lad and signed Magnusson from Juve for 3 million euros. Given the cost of looking abroad vs buying in England the risk starting to become less given the cost.

I will tell you something special.

If we sign Rafael Van Der Vaart, then I will swap from Stella to Heineken or Amstel.

I'll run a poll to let you decide between six pints of Amstel or Heineken. I might even then stop the beatings.

Pretty special that, tbh.

May I suggest adding "15 cans of Skol" to your poll. I think that's also got the extra special ring that you're looking for.

Guzan to Middlesbrough, Gueye to Everton, and Birmingham gone back in with another improved offer for Che Adams.

I'd like to veto Skol being added, Amstel and Heiniken are both classy beers, owned by the same brewery (since the 60s if my memory of the tour we went on whilst in Amsterdam is correct!) Where as Skol is from those bastards Carlsberg, nearly as timid as all there other products, they used to hold conferences in the hotel I worked at in Kettering and all the Carlsberg employees would ask for Warsteinber but in a Carlsberg class so they didn't get in trouble. All the while openingly admitting that Carslberg is disgusting.

Tomorrow, the history of crisps I like...

Happy about Guzan going, not that fussed about Gana. Westwood does the same job, not quite as well, but the point stands. :dk:

I'm not doing Skol. It's not even Dutch.

Think Cha Cha slide has missed the point. I'll add to the list:
- Grolsch
- Bavaria (actually is Dutch and not German.)
- Oranjeboom

In all honesty, we had a real problem with this last season. A year earlier we were able to gently ease Jota into Championship football - a few sub appearances and protecting him quite a bit. Last season our injury crisis meant throwing 4 or 5 players into the side who had never played in this country before, and aside from a single player, they all struggled massively to adapt. We only saw the best from them in the final 10 games of the season.

All gone quiet at our end which is rather worrying consider how desperately we need stengthening in certain areas. We've, along with others, have been linked with Pritchard but all just paper talk really.

Turned down bids for both Tiote and Thauvin which for the latter is certainly interesting. I fully expected him to be the first out of the door - a decision which I would have seen as positive for both Club and player.

Word from the Blades is that Morsy has turned them down to fight for his place with us. Good for him having that attitude, he's worked his nuts off to get to the Championship and I hope he breaks into our team because we don't have another midfielder like him. If I was manager I'd be starting him at Bristol City and have him tag Tomlin all game.
