James Chester's signed for Villa, not sure where that leaves Baker, but he should definitely come home.

As backup to Elphick and Chester, so there's still 0 chance we're selling him.

Wolves are about to sign Prince Oniangue from Reims in France for 1.9m. A 6.3ft devensive midfielder, built like a tank.

Agree with El Guapo, can see this guy being a bargain for what he's cost. Will be a very good striker in this league.

You do get tetchy mate, if you cannot handle perceived criticism then a generic forum isn't for you.

Personally I know very little about your squad but I do think you'll do OK as you also seem to.

It is if you have seen him play, rather than dismiss him purely on that he has come from Scotland.
I've no idea, but we signed some players in the McInnes era who were supposedly excellent in Scotland but were pretty naff here. Hope it works out for you.

Huws to Cardiff done, fee reportedly 1m up front plus add ons based on appearances etc. What a disaster of a transfer this was and until we see the add on fees, up to a 1.5m loss made on a 22 year old. We must have been desperate to get him off the books.

Brannagan deal confirmed by Caldwell as dead in the water today. Strange he's still following the club on Twitter. Again I can only assume we've bottled the signing based on the 75% playtime clause. Fully understandable but still worrying based on our midfield's performance against Bristol City.

Morsy is completely up in the air. 400k bid from Scunthorpe was accepted, now rumours are Morsy has turned them down and Sheff Utd are back in. To be honest nobody has a clue whats going on outside of the club. One things for sure, the club are happy to let him go, it's simply down to Morsy being willing to drop back down to L1 which understandably he seems very reluctant to do. Only club I could see him doing it for is the Blades. Time will tell!

Emyr Huws signed for the same reason that Jazz Richards was. To add a touch of "Welshness" to the squad.
Also Fabio has gone to Middlesbrough, couldn't fault the lads commitment but by God was he a shit defender!

If he had changed his name from Greg Stewart to something like Gregory van der Steur and was bought from PSV’s reserves then maybe he would be more 'inspiring'.

Wouldn’t be the first decent player to have come from Scotland. You’ve got Ross McCormack (Motherwell), Johnny Russell (Dundee United), Andrew Robertson (Dundee United), James McArthur (Hamilton), Steven Fletcher (Hibernian), etc. Hopefully he can replicate some of his play for Dundee in the Championship.

Yes, and for every Ross McCormack there's a Stevie May, every Johnny Russell there's a Stephen Pearson, every Andrew Robertson there's a Liam Kelly etc etc.

Time will tell, may be great for you, we shall see.

Apparently we're looking to loan Gabby out for a season to see if he can get back to full fitness with a view to trying to challenge for a spot at Villa again. Seems he's been offered that, or we just get shot alltogether. So, who wants a fat, unfit striker who's terrible at one on ones?

Also, midfielder to be announced in the next few days.

To be fair to him he was pretty good when we first signed him, got us up an all that. Looked shite for you lot though.

Not sure how I would feel about it, I love Garner but so far he hasn't done it in the championship and if we got good money and reinvested I would sell. On the other hand I dont think many strikers would get double figures with Grayson's tactics last season and even though he didn't get the goals he's still a horrible shit to play against.
Couldn't even score a penalty against Alex Revell, I'd sell him.

Probably the sort of player Grayson would get the best out of. Can't imagine he will want him though.

I don't fell I was being tetchy TBH.
I was just giving my view, I thought that was the point of a generic forum.

I don't honestly know if we will do OK or sink miserably.
We might have a better idea after 5 or 6 games.
Like I said in an earlier post we'll see.

Sounds like Leicester are messing around both Liam Moore and Reading. Proving to be a nightmare to get any sort of deal done.

Liam Moore on twitter earlier (before taking it down): "People like yourself make me laugh. Commenting on a situation you know nothing about. For your information I have no squad number, now no place in the 1st team dressing room now training with the u21s. Yet haven't asked nor demanded anything. Just kept my head down worked hard and asked for some kind of stability. I like to stay quiet on things like this as don't think it should be plastered all over here but I won't have people say I'm fake and pushing for a move away from the club I love and have spent 17 years of my life.

A couple of reasons.1 being I am at the age I need to settle not be shipped out on loan for the next 3 years (Where I have no say). Another being I worked my ass of in the off summer, had a strong start to pre season and didn't get a chance in other friendly. The rest I think it should stay private as like I said I don't like to comment publicly. Nor say a bad word against the club! I'm just a young lad desperate to play and progress my career. Simple as that"

I don't see what Leicester are doing, all for an extra few hundred £k. They will have an unhappy player who will leave on a free next Summer, or they can make a bit of money on him now..
