Some astounding posts on here over the weekend;

Forrestieri is apparently not worth as much as Kodija.
Forrestieri is off to Newcastle who have bid £12m.
Kodija and Abraham will score 35+ between em. (Best of lot that one).

Anyone notice a common denominator?

Izzy Brown signing on loan for the season today to rip up the Championship.
Forestieri's obviously a better (and completely different) player than Kodjia, but would you say that Forestieri is 3x better than Austin? Austin only went for £4m, Forestieri's being rumoured for £12m. Goes to show that a clubs value of a player isn't always a true representation of a player, more a show of how rich the club are and who they're willing to sell for at what price.

I'd bet with you on that Abraham/Kodjia goal tally, but I've heard plenty of stories of you not paying up bet's so it's probably best I steer clear of that one.

Brown's potentially a decent signing. Best of luck to him.

We've met a release clause for David Jones apparently? Not sure.

Garner is gone. £1.7mil and £20k a week. Fair play, big club and a hell of a pay rise. Hope he does well there.

Thank god for that can put an end to it now, time for him to get back on the pitch and do what he does best, with him in our line up we are so much more dangerous. Got to credit the club on this one though as Carlos and Chansiri have handled it brilliantly, shows if any other of our star players (or their agents) step out of line it wont be tolerated.

As for David Jones would be pleased adding him to the squad, experienced head in the middle and now with us seemingly playing with 3 central midfielders we could do with the extra cover, as McGugan will be off by the end of August and we haven't seen enough of Melo to judge.

Just goes to show how poor our planning is that we are after another keeper now despite having Green, Silvestri, Turnbull and Peacock-Farrell on the books.

Him and his Agent have played a blinder.

In a way they have, however the smarter way and it's happened recently would have been to approach the club, Westwood, Lee and Lees have all recently penned new deals, Forestieri would have been in line for one.

Austin only had a year left and tbf I'd rather have Forrestieri. Austin is forever injured and has got shit knees.

You listen to that Leamington Spa weirdo too much, only an idiot would pay this forum for bets on another.

Official bid tabled for Mawson of Barnsley.
Well that gives some credibility to what I posted before.
I was doubting it due to some of the targets being unrealistic, but maybe it isn't too far from the truth

Yeah, they don't want to sell, don't think they'll be budged this late in the window.

Can't see it happening, they don't need the money unless he tries to force it....
Heard anything regard to an incoming forward?

Now's the best time to go for Mawson, whilst we're sat in the top two.

Hopefully he forces a move with the money on offer, but we shall see.

Not heard anything mate, in the market for another winger though.

Hold up, 1FF gets slated cos he trys to activate a move or a new contract and you want Mawson to do the same, odd.

Bit of a difference between refusing to play for the club and puttin in a request though isn't there.
Personally I'd rather he didn't try and force it through, but would be happy if we signed him

Putting a request would be similar IMHO as you make yourself unplayable.

I just laughed at Forestieri doing it.

O'Dowda forced a move here, as City169 says if he hands in a transfer request it'd be good for us.

Taylor handed a request in and we're still playing him. He clearly isn't enjoying it though.

I don't think it necessarily makes them unplayable, it can, but it does depend on the players attitude and how the manager handles it as well.

If there's any truth in the Mawson rumour then hopefully it starts a bidding war with Wolves and QPR also interested.

A little bit gutted he's off after everything he's done for us but it's a good deal for us and him. Him and Barton in the same team are going to seriously wind up a lot of people. Hopefully we reinvest all the money in a replacement, doubt it like.

The Prince of Congo 2.0 has signed, no official announcement from the club but the Prince's agent has tweeted the customary holding of the shirt with the managing director photo, he has also tweeted about 700 other photos of various rooms and cupboards of the ground and training facility. A bit like when you mum figured out the facebook app on her phone.

It is a good deal for us and a fantastic deal for him, £20K a week will absolutely change his families lives.#

I am however skeptical that we can replace what he gives to us for £1.7million. That's nothing in this league anymore, to replace him we will have to look into lower leagues and go for someone who is untested at this level.

Delighted with Izzy Brown signing, his pace and power will be a huge threat going forward, need a goal scorer still though.

Only seen him play twice I think, looks a decent player. Not sure our scouting system stretches as far as Exeter though.

We were interested a couple of weeks ago but were priced out of him because Exeter wanted £1.5 million! Prices are just crazy these days..
