No player would sign a new contract with Fawaz as owner. Lets see when the consortium comes in, IF they do.

But i would rather keep the young ones than Lansbury.

Fawaz has lost his pen to sign the club over, sorry.

We've today been linked with:

Rhodes. Again.
Lansbury. Still.
Downing. Loan.
Cleverley. Loan.
Brady. Swap for McCormack.
Bree. Permanent.

Where do you see the consortium will sell him?

Forest offered him a new contract, but seems he is waiting on the ownership case before making up his mind.

They'd be brain dead not to, he wanted away years ago.

When your shedding 20 million a year as a club I don't think 2.5 million plus is a bad deal for a want away player that will walk away for a free in the summer.

Tiago Ilori not quite done yet (even if BBC reported him as signed at 10am), but reports from our end say it's only £2.2m. Not too bad.

With Paul McShane probably out for a month we'll need defensive reinforcement quickly. Also called back one of our loanees (Dickie) from Cheltenham.

I dont know what Villa or Watford have made of bids, but 2.5m is a fine price, if the buyer wasn´t Derby ;)

Wolves the first to show their hand in the race for Danny Ward, £1m been offered.

Normally we're the type of club that'd snap your hand off for that but there's at least 6 clubs who've registered intrest.

So Derby, Ipswich, Huddersfield, Wednesday, Bristol city the bidding has started, let's see what you've got.

We've also had a bid for Bogle turned down, not the 850k that's been reported but we're going back in with more.

Pray to god that isn't true, I was hoping our new long awaited striker signing would be a more high profile name.

It's true but he'll end up at Ipswich or Wednesday. Been interested for a while, this will alert them to bid.

Danny Ward's actually a very poor striker, movement and positioning is awful.

Jonny Hayes all but done it seems. I'm keen to see whether its skills and technique he'll use to beat a man or his looks:

Byrne officially off to Charlton until the end of the season. No news yet on whether Sam Morsy has agreed to join Barnsley or stay with us. Barnsley have trigged the buyout clause so it's down to him to make a decision. No players seriously linked at the moment. A lot of talk about us wanting Bogle but no concrete confirmation of a bid. Derby not willing to pay what we're asking for Yanic. Max Power interest has gone quiet but a bid of 850k from Brentford was rejected last week.

No mention of any interest in Ward at our end whatsoever. In fact it's the first I've heard of it. He does seem the sort we could be after though if Freeman finally goes to QPR. Marley Watkins is one we've been linked with along with Ipswich, supposedly for £1.5M.
I gather Leeds and ourselves are back in for Sergi Canos of Norwich. Both of us were after him in the summer I believe.
Brentford are also supposedly after him.
Off to Yorkshire then.

Had a scout there at the weekend.

His finish will have done him no harm.

Contrary to some reports, no deal with West Ham has yet been agreed.

First offer was £10m rising to £12m.

Second was the same, but with a loan for Ashley Fletcher thrown in.

They've come in with a third today, £12m rising to £14m, no loans included.

It's much closer to our valuation, but also includes some injury penalties as they've not been happy with the medical reports we've sent over regarding his previous injuries.

Not sure where this leaves the club, I would imagine we'll probably accept it, as it would be harmful to the team to let this rumble on for too long.

Also, Villa have apparently now enquired after Ryan Woods, he's got a long time left on his contract so we've told them to bugger off.

Lots of rumours today it seems. Apparently we've bid £1m for Stevenson from Coventry, and £350k for Kashket of Wycombe. Doubt we'll be able to get anyone that cheaply after all the money we've made of late.

There was a player spotted in the stands on Saturday alongside our youth coach, best guess is Jonas Svensson- based on a picture where he is out of focus in the background.

Forestieri signing a new contract is great news, puts a lot of our **** fans worries at rest and he can hopefully just focus on his football. According to Owlstalk, Lewis Mgugan is signing for Bolton on loan, can't see them affording his wages though. Be a reyt signing at that level.

Third bid for Hogan rejected. Got to admire our board sticking to our guns with the valuation.

Got to hope West Ham are desperate enough to pay the full price.

What would the full price be? Seems very much to me as if you're basically playing chicken with the bids and seeing who blinks first?

£15m is what we've consistently asked for, with a sell on.

It does help that there have been 7-8 teams linked in the papers, and at least 3 with proper bids so far, but even in the past with other players we've stuck to our valuation and players won't be sold unless it's met.

Ah ok, so the bids are close at least. I can't help but admire the way you lot handle your transfer business, I only hope you get a huge sum for John Egan when he leaves you as well!

He's not been quite so great over the past 6-10 games, but then again none of the team have. Not convinced he could be a regular PL defender, but he has the potential to prove me wrong.

I think he's as good if not better than Tarkowski, and you got £6 million (?) for him so I'd anticipate similar! I don't expect anywhere near the same valuations as those being touted for Hogan, that'd be ridiculous.
