He's not getting good reviews from the Charlton fans but we said the same thing about Tommy Spurr, he played for us while it was poisonous at Hillsborough and it got to the lad. After he left us he's gone on to make a decent career at this level, players suit different systems and clubs so hopefully Fox will be good for us. We needed a left back really anyway as Pudil hasn't been 100% this season and you don't spend 5M on a winger to play him at left back. Have to see how he gets on but he's still young and has had a fair bit of experience already, must be something about him as apparently there were other Championship clubs in for him. Has he got pace?

Luke Murphy joined Burton on loan.

Hernandez to be completed until the end of the season with the option of another year. I imagine that will be triggered as he's not that old. Especially if we're still in this league.

He does, can put decent balls in too as shown below with the two assists:

He's not a slouch but wouldn't call him pacy.

Don't be fooled by Lamby's video, in 100 appearances that's about the only positive highlights that exist. Like I've said earlier, nothing against the bloke, would love him to prove me wrong but technically, defensively, positionally and just generally he is below average. Like you say though, he has age on his side so we'll see.

Charlton fans also said Callum Harriott was shit in the Summer. Yet he has been good for us this season but got injured just as he'd broken into our starting 11..

Difference with Harriott was he always had potential and most fans were sad to see him leave as we fancied him to be very good in L1 but just didn't think he was quite good enough for The Championship. Fox has been awful in L1 aswell as The Championship.

I get that Tom but I do question the loyalties and the advice of some agents at times. As for refusing to speak to North end about a new contract, that's poor IMHO be it the player or the agent representing that player, especially after 8 years.
I can see both sides. Remember how Clough was lambasted for 'negotiating' with us when he had no intention of signing? He came down purely to waste our time.

If Bailey had no intention of signing a new contract he would have been doing the same to PNE, letting them know allows them to get on with either selling (as what happened) or keep him for the final 6 months and focus on other negotiations with incomings/outgoings/other contracts.

We've made an offer for Posh's Lopez according to Barry Fry. They want £8m. He's only 17/18...

He looked a class act when I watched them play Bolton on the tele a couple of months back to be fair, surprised he's that young.

Second bid of £12m + sell on fee from West Ham for Hogan rejected by us. We're confident they'll up their bid to the £15m we want.

Fair play to Brentford, £15M for a second tier striker who's had a good half a season. Other countries must look at the transfer deals over here and laugh their bollocks off.

Makes me wonder if we are ever going to get / afford a decent striker for this level. Ridiculous fees these days.

Our four strikers cost a combined £1m.. and it shows. Teams around us competing for promotion have strikers they could sell for 5-10 times that.

There are ways of getting them without buying proven strikers for a ridiculous fee as we've proved over the last two seasons.

Yeah, we signed Gray and Hogan for a combined £1.5m.

Unfortunately since then no one wants to sell us a striker on a decent fee as they think they'd soon be able to demand a lot more!

Shame Dallas didn't get that much of a fee and went to Leeds, he's a great player

He use to, bit like a white Adomah lol
Haha certainly wouldn't describe him as that!

Works hard but is in the team more for his defensive support than any attacking threat really. Has a few assists from set piece delivery recently, though.

Don't know if there's any truth in it but was told last night that Ipswich are interested in Hugill.

Some murmurs from people who knew about the takeover that we've got £12m to spend this month. Obviously we'll see but that's pretty handy once we've tied down Hernandez (nominal) and Jansson (£3.6m). I suspect we'll wait until the summer before seeing about Sacko and Bartley.

Can't go wrong with a Svensson signing.

Value is definitely abroad, Bristol City taking the right approach I think. Signing players from other counties where the football is similar and they won't take long to adapt, just look at Huddersfield as an example. We're apparently signing a Premier League striker on loan until the end of the season on 40k a week...
