You were the first to bid for him along with Ipswich and Brighton. Seen Ipswich are more serious about Hugill so he's there if you want him.

Danny Ward isn't too bad at all. I've slagged him about recently for his positioning and movement but to be fair this is the first season he's has playing as an out and out striker. Played on the wing before but more suited to a number 9 role.

Wards not a typical target man, he's quite quick for a big lad and a tireless runner. His finishing has improved massively and 10 goals in our side this season is excellent tbf.

You didn't bid £2m but Brighton did which we turned down, we'd sell for £3m but I think you'd appreciate Danny Ward more and get more out of him than Mason.

Actually just realised that possibly he is going to make our squad tonight. I was thinking there's no chance he'd be there as a midfielder but just clocked that we already have a RB likely to play at CB and if we picked up an injury we'd have no-one to go there at all so he might make the squad as an emergency, emergency defender. Would make sense I suppose.

That's what I'd heard that you need him to fill numbers up on the bench for your next game but could joint afterwards.

Hopefully we stop fannying about and get him permanently.

No our club are so amateurish when it come to tranfer business its untrue. 350k for a player who probably has 2 seasons left at his peak is stupid business as we'lll never sell him back on has you have already said. Barnsley and Brentford have gone things the right way since getting promoted by buying young talent from the lower leagues, developing them a bit and making around a huge profit. I cant think of any tranfer business since we promoted to this league where we have made a profit on a player.

Because it was the summer, Hourihane had only 1 year left on his contract and had never played Championship football before. I didn't expect him to be this good in the division and to be honest I reckon many Barnsley would be lying if they thought he'd be this good in the summer.

I cant think of any tranfer business since we promoted to this league where we have made a profit on a player.

We're going down the same route as Barnsley and Brentford, the only way clubs like ourselves can compete for a sustained period is by buying cheap, selling high and repeat. Even if you get relegated, it leaves you in a decent position to bounce back.

He was our best player when we got promoted back in 2011/2012. He suffered an horrific broken leg towards the end of that season and never really recovered. He then left to join his boyhood club Galatasaray, played very little out there, so for me he has wasted the prime years of his career. On his day he is a fantastic player, it's just whether he's got it anymore after his injuries.

Yep, no telling what he's like now. He had two bad injuries, the second of which was a career threatening knee injury that put him out for 18 months.

Box-to-box very high energy midfielder. Was just starting to add goals/assists to his game before his unfortunate injury. Had also just been made captain too.

Definitely worth a punt, would have liked him back here for the end of the season to help out our inexperienced midfield.
