All aboard the Zola Gondola! Kerim Frei from Besiktas... £2.2m

Gone are the days of BIHL, Gary Rowett, 30% possession, feeding off scraps, and being forced to accept mediocrity. TTA and Zola are finally bringing the good times back to St. Andrews!

It's like the good old days of Zigic and Chocho or whatever his fucking name was, are back. We just need 606 forums back now and you and us can go back to bragging about finishing 16th in the prem.

Super, SUPER Pav, super, SUPER Pav, super, SUPER Pav, super Pavulychenko!

Yeah that rings a bell, I miss the way that site looked, was like writing on a forum designed during the greenscreen operator era, before computers came with a mouse.

Don't doubt Ryan, mate.
It's not a guarantee like i said for the wright transfer. Rumour sunderland are now in for him which we'd never compete with. But we are a very credible option.

Tbf how was he to know that Ipswich was gonna come in with a late offer, he was all set for coming over this weekend but he's chose Ipswich now just typical of us for fucking around on a deal and not getting it done quick enough.

If he wouldn't have stated it as a fact that it was a done deal then he wouldn't have ended up with egg on his face.

Not been on here since, strange that :pond:

Two related Max Power Brentford rumours. The first one is that they plan to double their offer for Power once they get the Hogan money. Second one is that they've actually already had a bid accepted but Power has turned them down as he and his young family don't want to up sticks and move down south. No idea if one of them or neither is true.

One of our scouts is a known fan of Power's, but it's quite old news (from 2-3 years ago), and I don't think we'd be too interested now. But, I have also heard the same rumours seperately (not doubling the bid, but going back in with one once Hogan is gone) so there might be something to it.

All our deals seem to be on ice till Hogan is gone. Sky reporting it should all be tied up in the next 48 hours, I hope so. Would allow us to move on. Canos deal is waiting for Hogan to go, and we reportedly want a couple of others as well.

Ironically Power put in one of his best performances of the season on Saturday. I can see why you'd want him, your midfield was really average against us, McEachran never was much cop when he played for us. Canos would be a great signing. Regarding Power himself, I have no idea what he thinks about a move to Brentford, but I'd understand if he wasn't keen on a move down south. He's only 23, just got engaged and has two really young kids, it's a big thing to do regardless of how minted you are.

Keane signing this week apparently

No idea where he would fit in but that's certainly a signing that would create a bit of a buzz.

I'm still sceptical though, especially now Sunderland have been linked.

Roberts to Burnley for £3.5million

Media rumours. Apparently nothing in it from our perspective. We have back up unless we're planning to swap Long for Roberts but he's just had surgery on his knee. He'd be down the pecking order and at his age has no resale value and would never get a game, barring an injury to Mee and even then Tarkowski would immediately slot in. I'd file this under 'unlikely'. Not impossible but unlikely.

Any whispers if you're still interested in Ollie Watkins? Really hope we keep him till the end of the season but he's allegedly been watched by a number of scouts lately and he's been on fire so a bid from someone wouldn't surprise me.

Reports are we're still scouting and are interested, but that we've been put off by your demands regarding the fee. We're happy to chuck in a big sell on fee (we pretty much always do) but won't do that and pay a very high initial cost.

Reckon we've moved on to other targets, as the noise our end about him has died out a lot. Canos seems to be our top target when Hogan goes, then probably a DM and a striker.

Cheers

Someone on our forum who trusts their source says we're looking for a big fee and £4m was mentioned. Personally I think that's probably nonsense but would expect us to try and break our record sale which was £1.75m when Matt Grimes went to Swansea.

He came through our youth system and was sold to Man Utd for £100k at age 16 I think.

Any idea if you paid money for him? Am hoping we have a sell on clause.

Only 500k, if the rumours are right. His contract is up in the summer though.

Max Power update, both Ipswich and Brentford have offered 1.5m however Ipswich have offered better personal terms. No news as to whether the bids have been accepted or Power is willing to move but Simon Jones of the Daily Mail is normally accurate when it comes to Latics info. He also says we're in for Lucas Joao but we already knew this last week.
