Flint's worth more to us than Lees is to you though, even with your lack of quality depth at centre half.
No he isn't, Lees is our defensive lynchpin.

Flint linked with West Brom & West Ham. We were asking for £8m last summer, given he recently signed a four year deal I trust that we'll be asking for the same, if not more.
Ashley Fletcher and a few £Mill? I would take that TBH and wish Flinty every success in the Premier League. Yes, we would miss him but we won't turn down a big offer and risk him losing his motivation.
Is Flinty good enough for the Prem? I have my doubts but he is deadly in the air as we know.
I fear tomorrow is the last time we'll see the big man in our red shirt. :(

Flint's ours and he is also our third top goalscorer. You could replace Lees, we wouldn't replace Flint imo, and we can't lose more goals from this side with Tammy going as well.

I wouldn't mind that mate. I don't think he'd be up to much in the Prem but he could do well in a Pulis side. I think he'll stay FWIW, just signed a 4 year deal and I don't see anyone paying what we want for him.

Because you have money and pulling power, with the money you'd get for Lees you'd more than replace him. Not really sure on names because I don't know who'd be available, Roberts at Barnsley or someone like that? Hanley? Goldson?

Not sure why that's blinkered, I'm not saying Lees isn't excellent but I think you could replace him, it's a compliment to your club.

Why not Roberts? He's been superb this season for Barnsley, Burnley sniffing around him for a reason.

Hanley's alright, what about Goldson then?

Goldson has a heart defect, fuck that, he would cost us more in heart paddles.

Roberts isn't that good, I'd want more experience at this level too

Hanley has the turning circle of a tank.

To be fair, Roberts was excellent against us until he had to go off at half time. He kept Tammy quiet which is more than most could manage this season.
Knew his dad would come and stick up for him FFS.

As I said Flint is worth 8m then Lees double as he's better at what he does, and is paid to do, defend.

Based on what is Roberts not "that good", in his first season he's excelled at this level, and he's only going to get better.

Another suggestion for you, Grant Hall at QPR. Doesn't get much press because he's not playing for a fashionable team but he's up there with the best defenders in the division.

That's what I mean, you could prize away someone like Hall if Lees left, if Flint left us currently QPR to Bristol City isn't a step up and the only incentive obviously would be cash, but there'd be other clubs in for him that are a step up and can offer him the same as what we would.

I'd want better than Grant Hall.

I'd argue Barnsleys, QPR and Bristol City's goal against columns suggests their defenders are pretty shit.

We've had three seasons (Westwood and Lees) of being very good at the back and finding a replacement would be costly.

Give over ffs Walkley, don't be a simpleton.

Flint playing alongside shite full backs and in front of shit keepers doesn't make him a shit defender, same goes for Hall and Roberts.

Btw, you wouldn't get better than Hall, he's arguably better than Lees, it's subjective.

Flint being immobile doesn't help him fella, and calling me a simpleton, fuck me there's no mirrors in your house.

If Hall was so good why is he still at QPR, I assume you watch him regular to make these points about Grant Pique?

Roberts has 80 odd appearances in the FL at the age of 26, I wouldn't want to risk it.

He's good at what he does but pace is one thing he definitely doesn't have, but he plays to his strengths.

You tell me, I don't think he will be at QPR come September but we'll find out won't we? I could ask you the same question Walkley, how often do you watch him to say that he's not good enough to fill Lees boots should he leave?

I've watched Tom Lees for three seasons and know he's one of the best defenders at this level, I'd argue only Dunk and Ciaran Clark are better, Hall, I've seen him on a couple of occasions live and obviously on the box, he's never stood out, that's not to says he's a bad defender but he smacks of being bang average.

I'd argue that Lascelles and Jansson are as well. You've seen more of Lees than I have and I know he's superb, but I still think with your money you'd replace him.

Ask QPR fans how good Hall is and get a proper opinion if you won't take mine, he's one of the best defenders in the division and would be an adequate replacement for Lees.

I don't think Flinty is worth £8M Walkley but the fees being paid for half decent players is ridiculous enough that we can probably ask for that as we don't, currently, want to sell him. If a Prem side come in for him, why not ask a stupid fee? I've no doubt Wednesday will do the same if someone comes in for one of your players if you don't go up?

I don't want adequate.

I don't see many beating down the door for Hall, he was poor at both Blackpool and Brum on loan but if any Rangers fan on here wants to enlighten me feel free.

Jansson maybe, he's a little too reckless in the tackle mind and the bans would be a risk but Lascelles, nope, he's been shit, ask the Jawdees, hence I said Clark.

I think they will in the summer, Premier League clubs haven't beaten the door down for Lees either. JustinQPR QPR_Matt care to offer some opinions on Hall?

I said Clark's been excellent every time I watched him and G.B mocked me for it

If not Jansson, Bartley? I agree re: Jansson, he's probably a better defender than Lees but he is reckless and a bit of a booking merchant. 15 now isn't it?

Bartley again I'm not convinced on, and he's proper Fucking tainted not just Leeds but them bastards in S2.

Burnley wanted Lees the other summer but were quoted about 8m, they signed Keane instead I think, our chairman is a fussy fucker an all and won't sell our best player he reckons.

Re Hall, he was at Spurs for three years and didn't get a sniff and wasn't picked up by anyone decent on a free.

He's had a decent season, granted, he'll have 2 bad ones now. He's average, speak to our good friend G.B for extra verification of that.

Every time we play Bristol City Flint is the main reason they concede. Too slow and easy to pass around. Would rather have Harlee Dean, and am glad we do.

 Flint was outstanding at Griffin Park last month, some of your fans noticed and mentioned it on twitter.

Yeah, but you also said that about Colback :dk:

Clark is definitely not one of the top 2/3 CB's in the division. He's had a decent season by his standards, granted, but he's an accident waiting to happen. Dummett playing on his side of the pitch helps as well as he's nowhere near as attacking as our RB's. Lascelles had an excellent 1st half to the season then his form dropped off. Would certainly have him ahead of Clark in terms of talent though. Lascelles' introduction to, and run in the team when we were in the PL showed he's more than capable of stepping up a level. Clark's run in a PL side... not so impressive.

I didn't say Colback's been great this season I said he's a good player and think the treatment he gets from your lot is a bit harsh.

Hall was our player of the season last year. Very calm defender who plays it out. Played in midfield a lot this year, like Dier for Spurs but obviously no where near as good.

He is our best centre back but he is championship at best. He is still young so he might go on to improve and prove me wrong but I don't think he will play in the prem.

Tbf not that much between Jansson and Bartley really. Both absolute top-end players at this level but we'll do well to have even one of them next year. Jansson's classier and more 'obvious' in his style if that makes sense but Bartley is good on the ball and very calm.

If we can possibly sign Bartley and keep hold of Jansson, we'll have already made a very strong start to pre-season.
