We appear to be in for a lad called Niclas Elliasson from IKB Norkopping but the competition is Olympic Lyonnaise. Unbelievably, we appear to be favourites but I can't see a player, albeit a young one (21) turning OL down to come to us.
I put about this one a while back (a week or so ago, maybe a little more). Saw the Lyon links even then, but apparently they weren't actually after him.

We are defnitely after Eliasson- a bid has gone in and it isn't purely rumour.

His club signed a replacement (I assume the player signed, he was seen being picked up from the local airport by the manager).
Edit- the player did sign.

Whether Lyon actually want him or not is a bit more unclear, if they are then I can't see him coming here.

Wasn't the replacement for the other winger IFK sold or is it in addition to him?
As for the last statement, I totally agree, a smallish club in Englands' second tier or one of Europes big clubs? No brainer TBH.
I can't see him appearing in BS3 any time soon but, at least, it's a bit of transfer news for us eh!

I hope not, he's been dogshit everytime I've seen him play.

Can't say i've seen him play, think I missed both games against Rotherham last season.

Imagine everyone will have decided he's shit already because he had a nightmare against McGeady.

Ideally it's a swap deal, with Ben Pringle joining Rotherham but that's just wishful thinking on my part. Neil will know him from his Celtic days.

Not sure, didnt realise they had sold another winger!
I know the guy they signed joined Friday, but I'm sure the guy who the manager picked up was there before then. Of course transfers take time so it likely is just that one player signed.

Fairly reliable person on OTIB has said last year the club valued Flint at £10m.
With him signing a new contract in December, can only imagine that value has gone up.

Is it extortionate? Yes, but if that's what it takes to keep a good player, then so be it.

Che Adams made a pretzel out of Flint. Has he untangled himself yet?
He was crap against a poor Cheltenham side last night too.
You sure you want him?

Warnock has been whoring out Craig Noone in the press. Anyone want to take a punt on a winger that can't cross a ball?

Darnell Fisher signs, undisclosed fee.

Completely underwhelming but we'll see if a change of scenery does him any good.

Fisher is very decent. Quick and very good defensively, only winger/full back he struggled with was Yedlin at SJP. Yeah our defence was wank last season but it was through no fault of Fishers.

Very good cheap signing.

That's promising, think we're trying to get as much pace in the team as possible.

Hopefully it works out for him. Cheap signing and young so fits the bill.

Desperately need to get a commanding centre half in now.

Well we've had a couple of ins, now we're shipping a few out, from what I've seen today...

Nottingham Forest have made a £1million bid for Micah Richards (     ).
Sunderland are also now interested in Elphick, it seems Birmingham's interest has cooled though not completely.
Sunderland, Reading, Derby and Hull all interested in McBigmac, Sunderland have asked for a loan, we've told them to fuck off.
Veretout has gone to Fiorentina (€7million), what possessed them to take our relegation midfield, I don't know, but there we are.
Aly Cissokho is close to signing for Yeni Malatyaspor.
Gary Gardner is close to a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.

We're also after another ex-Barnsley player in Ryan Kent on loan from Liverpool.

So, we're on to make a tidy profit this window having spent around £2.5million, we've already recouped £8.5million, with more to come.

The Mirror saying Sunderland have agreed a £4million deal for Hugill. Hope it's true but doubt it.

Grabban confirmed at Sunderland on loan for the season.

Good work ethic, but not a striker for an upper end Championship club. Reading's efforts last season granted.

Gone in on price to sign Raul Jimenez, Andre Gray and Ashley Fletcher.

I'd be in dreamland if we signed Jimenez. I think you could hand us the title if we pulled that off. Gray would be quality, local lad and came through the academy. Ashley Fletcher probably the most realistic of the 3.

Wouldn't be handing anybody the title in July - Villa fans thought they had it wrapped up last summer with the signings they made and that ended in tears. You can't just chuck money at getting out of this league; there's much more strategy to it, but having the money is obviously a nice bonus.

Bolton hit with a wage cap for new signings, can only offer a maximum of £4.5k a week.

Can't pay any loan fees either and can only loan people up until January.
