A very tenuous link has surfaced on our forum about striker Adama Niane from Troyes for £3.75M. No idea if there's any truth in it or if he's any good but he was due to go to Levante in the summer but it fell through.
Never heard of him TBH but it's the sort of strange deal we normally end up doing.

Reasonable record at this level & in theory at least, fits the system we play quite well.

Bent & Martin just don't fit. Winnall & Nugent have shared the duty for the majority of the season, with Vydra just behind. I understand longevity probably wasn't considered when making this decision, but we're really just looking to get over the line. I'd imagine he's got a promotion bonus in his deal that's worth getting out of bed for - let's leave it at that.

Think we will only add one, maybe two more. LJ doesn’t want to chase it as such and keep the camp in good nick, many times clubs have gone big in January and it’s made an impact on the side’s spirit and moral. No big time Charlie’s, which I haven’t got a problem with.

As long as we have cover and players coming back from injury, I’ll be happy.

Quality player Forshaw, would love to have him back here, but his wages (and aspirations!) would be beyond us now.

Don't think Boro would be getting rid of him if Pulis hadn't come in. Very much not a Pulis type of player.

Barnsley signing Pinillos I read. He's an absolute class act tbf, I wish we'd kept him but the blokes knee is a ticking time bomb. He's what, 26, and had 3 cruciate injuries. Keep him fit and he is terrific though.
