Can't believe Bournemouth are paying so much for a left back, and he's not even worth it! I'm not gonna pretend I'm a Tyrone Mings expert but whenever I've seen him he's not been that good, he looks like a centre half at left back.

Looks like we have another signing wrapped up. Not a clue who it is though.

I think it's a lot considering Burnley spent £1 million on Lowton from Villa. Mings is better I think but not £7 million times better.

Mings is incredibly wasteful in possession. I'm stunned Howe has gone in for him, nevermind at that fee.

He's a great guy, though. I'm sure he does loads for charity, etc.

Thomas Cairney signs for Fulham.

Pleased with that, can't believe we are finally doing some good business after a dire three or four seasons in the transfer market.

I agree, but they're paying for potential, of which he has loads. It's easy to forget that he's only played one season as a regular at this level.

Fraser confirmed on a season long loan and Brett Pitman signs on a three year deal with an option for a further 12 months. All in all, pretty happy with the last 48 hours.

Our new signing is Konstantin Kerschbaumer.

Yep, no idea who he is either. There isn't even a wikipedia article on him.

This model we are using had better be f**king good.

As well you should be, if the reported fee is correct you've proper mugged them off. Do you think you'll reinvest the money into the squad?

I don't deny that for a second, especially with it rising to £10mil with addons. :bl:

Whispers (nothing concrete) that Mick will see £2-3m of that for transfer fees, which is hopefully enough for a creative mid and a RB... with Parr slotting into LB nicely. If that were to become the case, I think most Town fans would be pleased with the outcome. ME did state before this transfer that the vision is bosmans, frees & loans but if Mick were to say he needed more then he'd turn the tap on.

We're expected to enter pre-season with the current squad, however further signings haven't been denied. Realistically, we need one winger as we only have Russell/Dawkins and another defender, but we need to see who goes out in that department first of all as some will surely leave.

A defensive mid wouldn't be too bad, however we aren't desperate for one. Problem being Thorne is so injury prone and it's so unlucky, on his day he is unplayable. We do have an academy product in Hanson who to be fair didn't do too bad against Norwich/Middlesbrough however we didn't see much creativity from him, understandable because naturally he is a CB.

Ince has stalled, as although we've activated the release cluase that was entered in to the loan, Hull don't want to sell and are demanding the full £3.5m up front. Absolute incompetence on their part for agreeing the the clause.

Bridcutt seemingly is still expected to go through, but I'm not sure what is the delay.

Shackell, I don't see happening unless someone really does bid £4m for Keogh.

Managed to fend off interest from the big clubs to tie Tariqe Fosu down to a new 2-year deal. Great news.

The 19 year old who ripped you apart on the last day of the season. Was wanted by Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa IIRC.

Great news, but still waiting on the signing of Sa.. our local reporters thought it might be announced yesterday and he basically confirmed it himself this morning, but still nothing from the club.

A sloth could have ripped us apart that day to be fair.

Craig Conway linked as a replacement for Sako. I hope whatever journalist made this story up gets sacked.

Cairney is a shrewd signing for Fulham

We look set to start the season with what we've got. Absolutely no news, but that's to be expected.

Alright he's no Sako but he's a decent winger at this level, and plays on that left flank albeit a right footer cutting in. Why so averse?

Notice Fulham are also going after Kevin McDonald in addition to Cairney - how do Wolves fans view that one? I know he hasn't stepped up quite as well as some expected after being a standout midfielder in League One. Seems to have lost any ability to score for a start.

EDIT: Must admit I didn't realise Conway was 30, thought he was a few years younger.

To be fair I don't think Conway is such a bad player, but for a Sako replacement I was hoping for much better. We've been linked with Europa League wingers like the Polish International Michail Zyro from Legia Warsaw... I'm hoping we sign players of that calibre.

As for McDonald, 1million for him is frankly an insult. If they treble it I'd consider it. KJ has already said we don't need to sell anyone so I don't think it will happen, they tried to buy Richard Stearman for 1.5m too. Why any of our first team would want to move tinpot Fulham anyway is beyond me.

Hmm, dunno where I got the impression McDonald had had a mediocre season, seems Wolves fans still value him as highly as ever.

Fulham apparently tried their luck with a 750k bid or something similarly derisory for Dunk earlier in the summer, so I'm not really sure there's a great deal of rational thought going into some of their transfer moves this window (or previous windows for that matter).

Blues have confirmed the signing of Jacques Maghoma on a two-year deal with an optional one year extension after Wednesday didn't renew his contract.

He's been solid in the CM position for us. He has never really been a goalscorer for us though, we played him as a sort of holding midfielder with Jack Price, whilst Sako, Henry and Van La Parra were our more attacking midfielders. His best attribute for us is his ability to break up the play, and his range of passing all over the pitch.

One of the laziest players I've seen play for us, pretty sure his best position is behind the striker where he played at Burton. However we used him out wide and at times he was really poor, then for a few games through the season he'd be unplayable. Interested to see if Rowett can get the best out of him again as he has talent.
