We had a ball and chain around our ankle for the majority of last season and still averaged 5k more at home than Ipswich. The difference between the support of Birmingham & Ipswich was evident during that League Cup semi final in 2001.
Stockdale favoured a better salary at Birmingham over Premier League football with Brighton. Dean, Jota & Colin were happy to leave Brentford for a sideways move (but better salary) at Birmingham. Doubt Bialkowski has any ounce of loyalty to Ipswich, those days are long gone.
I'm too young to remember the 2001 semi final so please feel free to let me know.
Last season you were given a lot of funding and upfront optimism which no doubt will have increased attendances last year. We have been given minimal funding in comparison, higher ticket prices I'd have thought, lowest season in 60 years the season before, boring Mick tactics and jibes from an arrogant bloke. These days have hopefully passed and attendances will rise quite quickly.
It took you lot 1 season to drop below 19k on relegation from the prem. It took us 10 (ten) seasons.

Unfortunately, I have to agree, those days are long gone. I get the sense though that there's a bubble and it's going to burst soon with clubs falling like stones.
Re Bart specifically though, for some reason though, I just don't see him wanting a move unless its much higher
