This league is going crazy I love it. Waghorn 12 months ago was on the scrap heap now he's worth over £5M.

No Stoke fans on here? Close to signing Tom Ince for £10m reportedly, all over them to win the league at 5/1.

Colback coming back on a SLL. Just need to finalise this Byram deal and we are set I reckon.

We also need to shift about 10 such as Traore, Mckay, Ward, Mancienne, Vellios, Henderson

Nice having our squad settled well in advance for a change

Apparently they're after ex Spurs defender Vlad Chiriches from Napoli too. Would expect him to be quality at this level.

It's a nice stat - but he takes corners and free kicks right? Not surprising that he has so many assists as that usually adds quite a few.

Matt Smith got 10+ goals and 9 assists, was only one assist off.

Understand you guys wanting to keep him though - and understand wanting to hold out for a price you think is fair. You'd also have a better idea than us (especially your manager and owner) of what would be a good price to take.

That doesn’t mean anything, you’ve still got be good enough to convert them!

It does when you use goals or assists to compare to other players who don’t have that opportunity.

Egan deal confirmed. Club record for Sheffield United which means it’s over £4m which is what they paid for James Beattie.

8 from 27 pretty sure I counted were Corners/Free Kicks/Penalties.

Some assists admittedly are a bit generous but it comes from BBC i believe

Still a good record, but brings him in line with a lot of cheaper players

Just from listening to Radio Lancashire after games last year I know they rated him very highly, big strong pacey striker.
Doesn't look like someone who will challenge in the air and batter defenders, which is what I thought Neil was looking for. Seems rapid from clips i've seen though.
He isn’t very big, he’s not that strong so he isn’t a target man but yes he is quick. We had him the season before last and you could tell he had potential but he was mismanaged. Makes good runs and has more than enough pace to get away from defenders. Intelligent on and off the pitch and most importantly, a decent finisher. Of course, he could be very different a year on but I’m interested to see where he goes.

Weird year for him. Back to square one with wages twice as much as they were a year ago.

He takes the piss out of this division, just can't step up in the PL. Good signing for them.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has ruled his club out of the running for Town striker Martyn Waghorn, who he says has had a price tag of £8-£10 million put on his head by the Blues.

Earlier today, the Blades were reported to have made a £5 million bid for 28-year-old Waghorn, Town’s 16-goal top scorer last season.
While we understand the South Yorkshire club have shown some interest in Waghorn this summer, along with the likes of Middlesbrough, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham, Wilder says Town’s valuation is beyond his club’s means.

“I think another one that I think has got a price tag of £8-£10 million on him, so that rules us out straight away,” he told Sheffield Live TV (below, 18mins 21secs). “Any of those numbers.”

Happy days. Not sure anyone will meet that valuation for him based on last season alone. Still hopefully he'll be in a Town shirt for the Blackburn game next month.

Yanic Wildschut has left us to join Bolton on loan for the season.

A terrible signing for us.

Florian Jozefzoon has joined Derby. £2.75m plus add ons that take it to £4m.

He’s a very good player, and if we didn’t have the transfer strategy we do, I’d have preferred to keep him, but we have to sell when players are in their last 12 months, and it’s a good price considering that.

Will do well for Derby, big upgrade on Weimann IMO.

I've still never seen Tom Ince play well but can't argue with his record down here.

I think he's going to be a bit like Hogan. Use Flo properly and Derby will have a real player on their hands - he was a key part of our quick, incisive passing game last year. Use him poorly and play him in a different role to the one he was successful in at Griffin Park (similar to how Villa have used Hogan) and I don't think he'd be much of an attribute to Derby.

Was one of my favourite players last season - his finishing became more and more composed, was integral to our play, popped up with important goals at vital times during games (inc. some great free kicks) and always put in a real shift.

Use him wisely, and Derby have got a cracking player.

Good on you guys for standing your ground. Helps the rest of us do the same and get more for our players.

We turned down £7m for McGoldrick from Leicester a few years back (before they won the prem), in hindsight we should have taken it (injured most the time since and left on a free last month) but at the time, we stood our ground then as well.

Ipswich and Reading latest clubs linked with Bradshaw. Apparently Stendel is keen on keeping him at the club and we don't need the money so might take a hit on this one and risk him leaving for nothing next summer considering he's a proven scorer at this level. That said, if he actually wants to leave then it's never a good idea to keep a player at the club against their wishes.

I personally believe our soon to be £4m capture of Bersant Celina is a far better signing.

Celina & Asoro down either wing :db:
