Hope so. Think the article says he has only a year left on his deal but the general consensus is that he has 2 years left which would add significant value.

He was at our fans’ forum tonight and was talking about how much he’s looking forward to this season with us but if a Championship club came in for him I’m sure he’d be off. Having said that I’m not convinced he’d cut it in the Championship as he’s not the most mobile, but he is a classy finisher. Would be a huge loss for us but I can’t imagine we’d accept less than £1M after seeing Eisa fetch that much.

Think Keiffer Moore at Barnsley remains our main target but we won't stump up £2m.

I'd be surprised if you accepted less than £1m for Stockley considering the current market and the fact that you look sound financially.

Impressed by Stockley in the play-offs but from what you've said I don't know if he would be a good option for us. Personally, I wouldn't mind us looking at Tom Eaves at Gillingham, seems to have kicked on in the past year.

That'll be £2 million please. I mean, he's not worth anywhere near that and probably last season was a fluke goals wise, but everyone else is asking stupid money so why not us!

We're not linked, just looking at youngish, targetmen who could maybe do a job, plus he's from the north west.

Do you rate him? or do you think League One is his limit? remember him being really highly rated a few years back when he was getting loaned out by Bolton.

Well, we signed him on the back of a season where I think he scored 3 in something like 36 games in League Two with Yeovil, and was subsequently released by them, so there wasn't exactly a huge fanfare around him.

He's big and awkward-looking, but he's an absolute monster when he gets going and defenders do find it very hard to keep him tied down. Technical ability is severely lacking, but physically he's quite clever. League One is about as high as he'll go successfully I think, although another season of 15+ goals should see him earn a move to the Championship. I doubt he'll be overly successful at that level though.

Don’t get me wrong, Stockley is superb at our level, he’s instinctive and can score all types of goals but he just lacks that yard or two which I guess you’d need at your level.

Another factor that plays in our favour is that he told fans last night that his wife is due to give birth on 4th August so I’d imagine a move up country now would be far more tricky for him. Having said that babies drain your dough so he may be keen to have a nice pay rise!

As you say, it’s probably agent talk more than anything concrete at this stage.

Leeds signing Barry Douglas, explains why they're after Bryan but not really sure that's sensible dealing from Wolves.

Really not sure why we're selling Douglas.. a shame he was brilliant last year.

Our owners must be ruthless to get rid of Douglas in all honesty. Similar to Afobe. They were both pivotal (especially BD) to us going up last year, seems a bit shit to sell them after all that.

Rewind 12 months and when Douglas joined in his initial interview he said it was his dream to play in the PL...

However, North End have knocked back the speculation and say he is not a target.

Does seem really odd, my guess would be that you have a better target lined up (Zinchenko?). Bryan wouldn’t seem to be any improvement.

Harris says we're likely to have made a signing before the weekend. Not sure who that will be. I'd guess Bradshaw, but he played the full ninety for Barnsley last night. Can't remember who else we've been linked with.

I'd take Douglas at Derby, happily.

Jack Marriott signing today. Waghorn was £4m plus add ons, not £8m so it doesn't seem to have legs. I'm kind of thankful. £4m plus add ons I could stomach, not the £8m.

The line all summer has been Marriott is our number one target, so not sure why we would spend reportedly £4m on him to sit him on the bench. I just hope he isn't a flat-track bully.

Andre Ayew moving Fenerbache - frees up some big wages - hopefully enough for two decent players, preferably under 23 for scope to improve and resale value

I'd dont think Zinchenko is coming now, we're getting some guy called Jonny Castro from Celta Vigo/Atl Madrid who plays either wing back role. Still after Bryan though according to our local journo.

Jiri Skalak from Brighton perhaps the player who is coming in.

Derby's offer is £5m plus addons for £8m apparently, but the suggestion that he's trying to force a move, or that talk are advanced, seem wide of the mark.

Wouldn't begrudge the move if the above is correct; though club saying he will probably be here for the opening day of the season.

https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/34019/waghorn-still-expected-to-be-at-town-open-day

If it does happen, I want to see it wrapped up in the next couple of days to avoid panic buying a replacement.

Be a right coup that.
He was our primary target in January but Brighton pulled out of a loan deal at the last minute. We got Marshall instead. Looks a good player, albeit doesn't score many. Bring him and another forward in and I don't see any reason why top half shouldn't be achievable again next season.

The add ons would be promotion related so certainly devalues the bid considering Derby’s history.

As I’ve said before, I’ve heard that he’s finally felt settled somewhere and his whole family now live in Suffolk (parents recently moved) so really can’t see him leaving.

Hilarious if Wolves replace Douglas with Bryan, what an awful decision that would be

I can’t see it. They’ll probably swoop some Dick or Harry from Benfica

Looks like Rangers will be getting 10% of any sale so even more reason we want £8m for Waghorn

Been confirmed that is total bollocks.

Rob Dorsett went out and said its 3m rising to 5m, but our chairman has rubbished that too. Our chairman chats a fair amount of shite though so we'll never know.

It's one of those where it's in the best interests of each club to brag how little/much it has cost them. We had a similar thing last year selling Will Hughes to Watford, they reported it at 4 we reported it at 8.

I'm sure it's somewhere in-between the figures mentioned. I thought it was going to be 5.75 upfront plus addons a few weeks back when 6.5 was being banded around so anything significantly under I'm happy with.

Edit:

Now confirmed, squads surprisingly looking in good shape after the Rowett jumping ship because we're skint scenario.

I think our Chairman has played a blinder here.

Inferred we had no money, belts to be tightened etc, and Rowett doesn't fancy it so we let him and his shithouse football go. We replace him with Lampard, the club's profile goes through the roof, getting some good young players in, the football is going to be better, and there's a real buzz around the place again.

I know we're going to lose Vydra, but I think he won't be missed that much.

Don't think we will see any incoming business at Deepdale before the opening game, could be deadline day.

Reading between the lines of Alex Neil's comments, we're waiting for Prem teams to announce their squads and hoping Callum Connolly is surplus at Everton so they accept our bid. Guessing Fraser Hornby could be following him unless something drastically changes with Moore at Barnsley.

Happy with the squad but Connolly and a targetman would be nice finishing touches.
