We’re also in for Burke, Wigan fans. Don’t get the hype tbh. Would much rather Ben Marshall back.

Clearly didn’t watch him at Forest then.

That was over two years ago now and lasted one month which he’s dined on ever since. He’s done nothing after August 2016, that’s why it’s clubs like us and Millwall after him rather than bigger/higher placed clubs.

How many years ago was that, though? I’d be excited to sign 2007 Michael Johnson and 2010 Dale Jennings. Throw in 1999 Francis Jeffers and that’s a great transfer window.

Difference between Burke and a player like Marshall is that the former has been signed on the basis of his reputation, while the latter has worked his bollocks off to prove himself but has been unlucky that his last two clubs have had title ambitions.

Eze being linked with a 6 million move to Everton. Be crazy to sell him for that.

We are still being linked with Taraabt when we can't buy anyone unless they are on a free, and even then they have to be on 25% less than the outgoing player. Seeing as Taraabt has 2 years left on 50k a week I cannot see him agreeing to leave.

That's terrible money for Eze.

We'll be getting a new keeper, with Maxwell on his way out and we've been looking at various right back options (James at Yeovil, Johnson at Accrington and a Prem loan have been looked at supposedly). We'll be done after that I imagine.

Andy Boyle on his way to Shamrock it seems, O'Connor to be sent back from Crewe and Spurr is back with us after yet another injury. Hudson is back too, hopefully we can arrange a decent loan for him and Connor Simpson.

I’d send Simpson back to Hyde, he was flying there. Presume the keeper will be Ripley.

Our owner Matthew Benham has posted another clue - so we should have a new signing in the next couple of days but no one has any idea who!

From the Bundesliga to Millwall or Wigan in two years.

That is clearly the trajectory of a player who is dedicated to and passionate about his profession.

You’ve no idea of the circumstances of what may or may not have happened, he’s come back to West Brom after struggling to get into a side that we’re competing for a CL spot and has again found some tough competition in his place.

You can preach about “passion and dedication” all you like, but don’t go onto say you’d sign Marshall as he clearly doesn’t have much passion or dedication towards Millwall given he snubbed you about six months ago for a club in the same league.

Yes he did time for it, also called Billy Sharp a fat piggy c*** or summat on a video too. He's despised by our fans

This is going to be interesting, I was worried the other day that your board was going to seriously back Wilder after the Dowell signing but if this is your striker signing I'm more relaxed.

Alex Pearce gone to Millwall on loan for the rest of the season. Decent player.

Interest in Anya from Birmingham. Someone take him and Butterfield for fuck sake.

Could either be a masterclass by Wilder or a total disaster. Ballsy move.

Their fans are proper kicking off, I bet public reaction will put an end to this, like when Warnock was going to take the Wednesday job.

It's just unnecessary in every sense. Not sure why wilder would even do it, surely can only cause more bad than good, I mean let's be reyt if he was good I'd understand, he's a top end league one/ bottom of championship player at best. But look what wilder has done so far with us so ill go with it if needs be, he will definitely get loads of stick on debut though.

Maybe we need another striker , I've always thought so but were 3rd top scorers and have the top scorer in the league, so fuck knows, that's why I'm not a football manager.

Blade were you happy when Wilder resigned Ched? Just popped into my mind that this isn’t the first questionable signing that Wilder’s made in terms of splitting the fanbase, didn’t exactly work out either so thought it was a bit unnecessary.

I was happy enough with the ched signing yes, it didn't really divide the fans that one, a few weren't happy but he got a great reception on his return as he was liked anyway by our fans, end of the day he was found to have technically not done what he was originally accused of so not an issue for me. I'll go with wilder all day long he knows a damn site more than I do I just see it as an unnecessary risky signing. However a few goals and no doubt all will be forgiven or a winning goal on March 4th and he may even become liked. Personally I wouldn't abuse him when he first plays as it will not help at all, stick with what the manager thinks is best , he's done wonders for us so far.
