Looks like we are signing Odubajo on a free transfer, shrewd bit of business that. Will probably see Dom Iorfa moved into the middle of the defence next season.

Good signing. No idea why we didn’t keep him given we had a contract option.

A few of their fans on Twitter were speaking about O’Dowda and said “we’ve got players forcing moves from Real Madrid to join Leeds, if we want CoD we’ll get him” as if they signed Modric or something.
Yeah a goalkeeper with actual cl appearances and 43 real Madrid appearances is a joke of a signing for this league

What I meant was I can tell the club has more pull now it's top and bielsa is here , but we can all pretend it's just a normal signing zzzzz
yeah he also had 43 appearances for powerhouse REal Madrid

anyway let's move on, we have Bailey-Peacock Farrell in goal even Fraser Forster would be an upgrade, can't wait for him to replace our liability in goal

I was really hoping we would sign him, he is exactly what we need.

Not sure how reputable he is but one of your fans has apparently asked Warburton about it and he said he's tried but Odubajo had already signed with another Championship club believed to he us. Odubajo has worked under both Bruce and Warburton so no surprise they were keen.

Lots of twitter noise that we're losing young Lloyd Kelly to Liverpool for around £10M.
While it would be great to keep him, that's a decent move for him, at his tender age, if it's true.
Gives us some serious additional spending power this summer as well.
We were always going to lose Lloyd, if it's to Liverpool, I wish him well.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Bidwell ends up with us, we need a LB and we’ve been interested in the past. He’ll have to take a wage cut though.

Looks like Jordan Willis on a free transfer from Coventry CIty is going to be our first signing of the summer.

He played very well for them in the draw at the Kenny this season. Seems a reasonable move, needed to get someone with pace as an option in the centre of defence, both Bradley and Pearson had exceptional seasons but neither are noted for their speed and they did get caught on occasion with the ball over the top of them. Good option to have I think.

As a broader point, thought it was interesting Jones mentioned about the squad needing to be bigger and have some "flexibility" in his initial interviews. Can see us being in for a few wide players in that case, considering we have none having not played with any for 2 seasons.

Now Portsmouth are out of the play offs would love to get Lowe and Clarke off them, but they’ll be out of our price range

So would I. Lowe was shite in the 115ish minutes he played so it makes me think we may as well just play Adelukan, but I think Clarke’s very likely if Kalas doesn’t sign.

Unless Maupay is moved on for big money....
Even if we get big money in, we’ll still look for undervalued players. These two will have plenty of interest from this league, that drives up the price and means we probably won’t be interested.

Would the new stadium coming online change that mindset MB or will it be more of the same? Given the increased revenues, you would assume you have more potential to spend? I don't know your level of debt to be fair though.
It's an admirable system, no doubt about that, but surely it can't go on forever?

It probably takes us from a Bottom 6 budget to one that's closer to mid-table, but largely still funded by transfers. What it's more likely to do is help us get back here if we do have a horror season and fall back into League 1, as we'd have a much better budget there than with Griffin Park.

We've seen over the past couple of years that the model is being pushed forward a little. When we first came up the most expensive players we were buying were £1m, a couple of years ago it was £2m, last year it was £3m. We'll keep slowly building up to a better squad.

Supposedly our chairman tries to work in cycles of 3 years, where in the last year you try to hold onto a few more assets and have a bit more of a go, before resetting the cycle and building again (but with hopefully a bigger budget). Other clubs seem to be doing similar as it's a good way to work with FFP. The problem we have at the moment is that it's hard to turn down offers when they are too good (£12m plus loads of add ons for Mepham, £5m for Yennaris, etc).

As far as Tomas Frank goes, I'm not sure. We have played some lovely football at home, he had a horrible run but we pulled it back and ended up in a similar position to previous years. But the away form was horrific this season, and really needs to be addressed next year, and that did seem to be a problem with Frank's tactics.

Despite continued sales (we've made nearly £30m including potential add ons this year, on top of £25m including add ons we made last season), the squad still looks pretty strong. If we hold on to Benrahma and Maupay I think we could trouble the play offs next year, but I would imagine one if not both of them will be sold. Watkins too maybe. But they'll likely go for record fees, and that allows us to push up the limits on what we can spend on players, maybe to £4m, and we keep on improving slowly but surely.

That's the idea at least.

We’ve released Zeki Fryers, Lloyd Isgrove and Adam Jackson plus a few youth players.

Offered new deals to Adam Davies, Jake Greatorex and Ryan Hedges.

Took up a one year extension option for Dimi Cavare.

Our new CEO starts today so hopefully see some movement in the transfer market.

Think we wanted Isgrove when he signed for you, bullet dodged.

Thanks Alan McCormack. We dont get promotion/s without you once we lost Rea. Awesome signing

Gutted to see him go. Not because it's the wrong decision, just really liked him. You'd do well to find a player who has made such a big impact for us in relatively so few appearances (39 games over 2 seasons). If only he was 5 years younger.

Definitely the right call though, probably one of our higher earners and we can't afford to tie up a decent wage in someone who can only play 15-20 games a season at this level. Also very much doubt he has the legs for the Championship (he did leave Brentford 2 seasons ago for similar reasons after all).

Regardless, it's a very fond farewell from me, been absolutely key for our back-to-back promotions despite limited appearances. If he'd stayed fit in the first season I've no doubt whatsoever we would have won the title, and had he not had his injury patch this season we'd have hit 100 points I think.

Whoever we recruit for the DM position is going to be key to our season, it's such an important position for us (if we stick with the diamond under GJ anyway, my impression from his first interview was that it'll be the diamond at home on the narrow pitch but probably something different away).

Glen Rea is the man for that position. He was superb early season although McCormack seemed to pick a better incisive forward pass and get forward more but im not sure that luxury will be afforded us in the Championship with the higher quality we could get caught on the counter. Be interesting who/what the backup is for the role as Pelly is ok there but not a natural and wasted.

Rea won't be fit for the start of the season apparently and that's just fit to play, never mind match fit. He only just ran on grass for the first time earlier this week I believe. Unfortunate as he had really come into his own prior to the injury and was making that role his own.

I think our squad needs to be a lot deeper than what it would’ve been in L1. Although saying that we will probably be playing less games than the preceding 10 seasons!

George Thorne would’ve been a ready made replacement, but for some reason Mick didn’t fancy him. Eunan O’Kane another candidate, but I don’t think you can afford two players in similar injury situations in one position the way the transfer windows are structured.

He’s a handy player when fully fit to be fair, just been unlucky with injuries since he signed and when he was fit Stendel wasn’t going to take Brown (Potts before him) or Thiam out of the first 11 when they were performing so well. Hope he gets his career back on track.
