2m for a player in his last 12 months of his deal and completely untested at this level is about the best you'll get.

Fair enough, just using the other fees as a benchmark, which all seem ludicrous, really. He is also, in my view a lot better than James Justin who is likely going for at least double that from most reports.

Not sure why we you need to be getting so antagonistic at people about this though. Some harsh comments towards Kenny, he is what you might call an enthusiastic poster but not sure the general nasty tone is called for. Forum is dead enough without driving people away.

How about putting it this way - Jack Stacey will not be leaving Luton for £2m. It is not what he is worth in ‘the market’ it’s what the club is prepared to sell him for. The club was offered £1.7m this time last year and was turned down.

He has improved, quite dramatically, from that point last season but the contract situation means we wont get as much as you think though. 2 million seems low, although the oracles of the championship transfer market say otherwise, but I doubt it would be much more in reality.

Whoever does get him is going to be laughing though, superb player, in a position that is seemingly becoming increasingly important in the modern game, for a couple of million quid. Whoever it is will be flipping him for big money in a years time I think.

Kenny began the antagonism in another thread and seems a stroppy little bastard, sorry.

Don’t think you guys could afford to turn down £2m for a player with only 12 months left.

You only have to look at some of the players we’ve sold for around that amount - Harlee Dean and Maxime Colin are good examples and they were good performers for multiple years at this level before they were sold.

Put it this way, would Luton spend £2m to sign a player on a 12 month loan? Not a chance in hell, so of course you would sell a player for that amount if no other teams were offering more.

Side note, finally remembered a player sale - George Saville went to Boro for 8m. Then we wasted a bunch on Ryan Leonard and Tom Bradshaw :err:

Woodrow a certified upgrade on Bradshaw.

£6m Justin’s going for to Leicester, surprisingly not the £284m that was being mentioned on here.

Good price there Luton done well.

Adam Davies and Liam Lindsay both confirmed to Stoke this evening. I would have loved for them both to stay but they rejected the offers made to them by us and fair does. It’s the worst kept secret at Oakwell this summer but I reckon we’ve brought in adequate replacements so far.

Bristol City fans, I see we’re linked to Robbie Cundy on loan....Doubt you know much about him as he only signed recently didn’t he?

I hear he’s 6ft 6”...!

£6 million up front rising to over £10 million with add-ons according to The Telegraph. The most commonly rumoured fees were £7.5 million or £12 million so sounds about right to me.

Doubles our record ever sale just for the up front fee even if none of the add-ons come in. I'd quietly confident that most of them will, he's probably goes in as first back-up to both left and right back for them, and Leicester could well lose one or both of their current first choice full backs in the next 12 months to one of the top 6.

Sad to see him go but don't think we could ask for any more than that really. And we didn't sell him to Nathan Jones at Stoke which is an added bonus (watch us sell Stacey to him now though!).

Think it’s a very good deal for us. We have a bit of cash to strengthen in other areas.

People will not want us to be a selling club, but if we’re going to grow at this level, even in Power Court, turning over players for good money allowing us to strengthen all over the park is probably the business model we will have to go down. We just can’t compete higher with the amounts being spunked by other teams.

My mate’s brother was his centre half partner last year at Bath and I see him most Saturday nights, spoken to him a few times about him and he reckons he’s absolutely quality. The plan was to loan him out to January and having him come back and compete for the first team but no idea if that’s changed, would be a good signing if you got him for the season from what people say about him.

Fuck me....

I want a threesome with Jessica Alba and Kate Upton, that's more likely than Adam Webster being sold for £30m, and I'm an ugly twat.

6 million plus add on for JJ seems a good deal for us. Not far off the 7.5 that was muted.

Would like to see us get out there and spend a bit of that, been very very quiet for us rumour wise, been the odd thing but not seen anything linking us to players in key areas we need to improve in like keeper and defensive midfield, normally there is the odd rumbling from the few ITKs on outlaws. Lua Lua who was important for us last season is also still out there seemingly in limbo.

Probably counting on this money coming in so we can go out and get people but it does sort of feel like we are slightly behind with just one signing so far. I’m sure we normally get most things done before we get back for pre season.

We’d do well to get half of that for him but it’s pretty much a hands off issue I think. Villa and Everton are reportedly the ones headhunting him and given Villa did the same with Grealish last year it’s amusing seeing them get worked up by it.

Behind not just on the pitch but off it. We only have half a backroom team setup. This should’ve been sorted out a couple of weeks ago.

According to Alan Nixon, it's down to Muric now whether he's coming here or Forest.

Imagine the bigger club factor will decide this one, sorry Forest.
