I suspect he was here in the first place as Jones knew him well from Brighton days. Now he isn’t here perhaps things change for him. Just one of those things, can’t blame him for wanting to get the best offer possible given it’s a short career. Good luck to him, and who knows if like last season he is without a club at the start of the season we might go back for him, although admittedly unlikely.

We probably needed too before but we definitely need to bring in at least one first name in the team sheet type forward player. Wouldn’t be particularly confident with only Collins, Hylton, Cornick, and I guess Lee who is basically a 10 now, as forward options. Think we might need to splash some of the JJ money to do that.

Kazenga LuaLua has left Luton after contract talks broke down. Sounds like his agent is being a dick. He was at a club which could’ve given him a long term home after being out in the wilderness again this time last year, but he’s said bonjour to that. I’m sure we would’ve offered him a fair deal but he probably wanted something obscene.

Not quite sure what he’s expecting? We’re a Championship club and on the up. To be honest, he didn’t seem as approachable and as part of the team as the others. There was an occasion last year where he almost refused to be substituted.

Bonjour? I thought you said he was leaving!

Personally didn't rate LuaLua that much so not unhappy we haven't broke the bank for him.

What he did do well is carry the ball so he got us up the pitch quickly. We don't really have that option in too many others so hopefully we will bring in a forward who can.

The reports about Jack Stacey today concern me far more than LuaLua tbh. Always thought he would go this window but still coming to terms with it emotionally like, probably my favourite player in recent seasons.

Bournemuff had 3 bids rejected going up past £3 million allegedly (comes from the paper that shall not be named so take with heavy dosages of salt).

Agreed about this. Losing both our fullbacks and arguably our best players is going to take some adjustment period! Not ideal at all.

Stacey kept JJ out and forced the hand to push him over to LB when Potts got hurt. JJ one of our own, but Stacey better.

Agree 100%. For me, I'd be gutted if he went for less than £5m... I think likely to be on deadline day.

Semedo deal fallen through and Burnley want him if reports are true. First friendly tomorrow and zero incomings despite losing around four key players and that’s not counting squad players released. Could see Cook walking at this rate. We are nailed on for bottom three unless we’ve seen drastic change in the next month.
Apparently coming here. Looks huge.

Leeds losing Jansson for 4m after a fallout with Bielsa. Fucking amazing.
We are 1/2 on with SkyBet to sign him. I can’t believe it but would be amazing if we do.

Superb business if you get him. Especially if you flog Konsa and replace him with Jansson + profit

We’ve signed more experience this year than in previous years, Norgaard and Pinnock both a lot older than we usually sign. But even still Jansson’s age and wages make it incredibly unlikely that he’s coming here, unless we’re giving it a good go this year.

Bielsa's bucket
it's ok we still have calamity fuckwit Cooper

clubs an absolute joke, they make it look like progress signing Costa then sell more assets off because apparently (Alioski doesn't like Jansson)

and 5.5 million for arguably the top 3 cb in this league is an absolute robbery and more our fault than Brentfords should be double that

Seems an odd signing for us, but £5.5m is well under what clubs should be paying for him. My guess is that Konsa is off but even still this should be a cracking signing.

We must see this as the season to gamble on going up. We’ve made a huge profit each window but so far we’ll have spent about £13-14m with only Bentley leaving for a fee.

Would imagine if we don’t go up we’d still be able to make a profit on him. Though no idea how we’re covering wages, and it almost doubles our transfer record.

In addition to the Jansson news, which looks more likely by the minute (though slight worry bigger clubs will come in now the price is so public), it seems we’ve rejected a £2m bid for Sawyers from Celtic.
