Matt Miazga set to rejoin on loan for the season - him and Liam Moore were excellent last term. Add in the returning Jordan Obita and the always excellent Andy Yiadom, a very solid back four.

We're also signing Charlie Adam, but I'll choose the ignore that...

Yeah im ignoring that as well. He will probably not play that often. Will probably be injured most of the season.

I think you need a whole new team tbh, or just keep the old one and get relegated which I'll be happy about ;)

Mark Duffy's name is cropping up, Neil said he wants experience but let's not grab every 33yr old we see...
Reckon he’s nailed on for us. Scouser, cheap and old, ticks all boxes for our recruitment.

Meanwhile we won’t pay the 3 million for Lowe so that’s set to drag on. If he’s still at Pompey in a couple of weeks, we’ll probably come crawling back, we love a good deadline day panic splurge.

Villa stepping up their chase for Benrahma and Maupay his week.

Was going to do my table predications at the weekend but didn’t as this is usually such a frantic week, takes Brentford looking good for top six to about where they usually finish for me.

New QPR bid for Judge rejected, a derisory £450,000.

Lambert simply won't let him go for less than £1m+, perhaps a little more, and I don't see QPR meeting the valuation. Fortunately, he's only just signed a 2 year deal after we were relegated.

Even if he does leave for £1m, it will be a PR and fan shitshow based on promises & pre season talk from both Evans and Lambert. They'll know the fans will hit the roof so it's a tricky one, especially if Judge does want away.

Has he asked to leave? I can see us going near 1 million but I can't see us going above it.

WBA need 2 centre backs, at least 1 right back, 1 forward and a wide-left midfielder/winger. 6-7 more in before the 9th ideally, so we'll be a busy club over the next fortnight or so.

Furlong is better at CB than he is RB. He is pretty terrible at RB to be honest, he isn't great at going forward and positional sense is non existent. Committed player though, will give everything and has a long throw.

Rumours of 2 million plus 25% sell on. Good deal for us, I think he has 1 year left on his deal.

Don't you rate him? Always looks quality on the highlights, Rovers fans loved him as well.

I think he is a pretty standard goalkeeeper to be honest. He has pulled out some brilliant saves, including a triple save that was unreal.

But he doesn't have the best handling and seems to get beaten quite easily on low shots.

So 7 million for him would be great for us. We have signed Kelly who has had rave reviews, got Dieng back after a loan receiving rave reviews plus just signed another GK to be our 3rd choice, so someone will be on their way out.

Currently 4 goalkeepers in the 1st team plus 2 in the under 23s. Yet we have one striker, who is young and flopped at Walsall last season.

I reckon if we can get £20m for either of them, we’ll sell. It’s a shame but trust the team to replace them well.

Sounds like Sawyers is basically gone, £3.5m rising to £5m, decent business for a guy in the last year of his deal

Won't get 20m for Benrahma
He’s quality mate, only started 29 games but got 10 goals and 14 assists. Best player in our team.

I do rate him but he had a good half season, won't get £20m.

If we don’t, and I reckon you are right that we won’t, then he’ll stay.

Walton has been signed on loan for the season to replace Raya.If we get 2 defenders signed in the next couple of weeks we might have a decent team this season.

Sure the clubs will agree around £1m. Expect a real backlash from fans but if he really does want to leave it's difficult; despite him having just signed a 2 year deal.

Hopefully you won't meet our valuation but I imagine you will.

Shame about the manager mate.
If he could start playing players in their proper positions it would be a start.I see us being a mid table team at best with him as manager,he got us back into the championship but i've no confidence he can take us any farther.

Nothing less than 1.5m for me. What. A. Snake.
I’d make him stay in truth, he’s 30 on a 2 year deal, throwing a fit would ruin him.

The bid we rejected for Benrahma was £14m rising to £17m with a sell on. It’s kind of crazy to write that.

On the incoming side, still no movement from Mbeumo as he waits to see if bigger clubs become interested. We’ve put in a £2m (rising to £3.5m) bid for Ove Ejaria from Liverpool.

Just a hunch on my part but I think we'll end up re-signing Nmecha or Hugill on loan before the window shuts.

Nmecha would be my preference.

Bit odd, wasn’t he in a pretty rubbish Bradford side last year. And wouldn’t say another midfielder was really needed. We must like him though if we’ve taken him out to Portugal with us.

Jacob Butterfield still gives me nightmares. Horrendous for us, but was once having big money being slung at him so he's gotta have something.

He was a decent player for us. Michael Brown nearly killed him and he took a while to regain fitness so was a flop at Norwich but he's had a couple of decent seasons with Huddersfield and Derby since.
