Luton fans, sounds like we’re in for Cameron Jerome. I know he hasn’t played a lot for you this season, but do you reckon he could still do a job in L1? Is he still fit enough to last 90 mins?

He’s been used mainly as a sub option this season but not because his legs have gone, just because Adebayo and Morris are the de facto starting pairing.

He honestly has really impressed me, he’s still extremely fit, pretty quick and wins a lot in the air. He’s a good option to have off the bench at this level and clearly a wise head to have around younger strikers. Good player still for me and I’d like to keep him around this season really as he’s a good one to have around in case one of our Adebayo/Morris goes down for any length of time.

Maguire gone.

Looks like we're paying Olosunde's contract up too.

Adam O'Reilly also joining Derry City permanently.

I am actually quite annoyed about the Bree situation - in this market when Gyokeres is being quoted for £20M, one of the best RBs outside the Premier League goes for just an initial £500K is baffling.

Cornick is also interesting Bristol City. Again, like Naismith they could probably double or treble his salary if they wanted to. But he’s regressed as a player this year, so I think he wouldn’t be a tremendous loss, but just a sign that we could be picked apart in the next half year.

Always a struggle when a player enters the final 6 months of his contract though. We got similar money for Ben Pearson.

Think Ben Davies was over a £1m but that was Liverpool.

Blackburn are losing Brereton for nothing when he was valued at £20m a year ago.

Yeah it’s definitely disappointing, I guess we maybe should have been looking to move him on last summer or even this time last year, although that would have been equally disappointing given we were chasing the playoffs.

Only thing I do wonder is how much the deal to get him out of Villa dis-incentivised it. If I recall he was still under contract at Villa who essentially gave him to us for free/very minimal outlay. I wonder if as part of that agreement Villa had considerable sell on rights which made the difference between us getting a few million for him vs 500-700k not as palatable as getting another half a season out of him.

Either way though it’s disappointing to not get a good fee for a player we spent a lot of time developing and improving

As much as I don’t like them, McAnthony at Peterborough has this policy right. Every player with 12 months or less on their contract goes on the transfer list. Force the players hand, see who is committed long term and understand that without PL money we cannot compete on financial terms.

Not 90 but he has done a job coming on for the lest quarter of a game but still decent and holds the ball up well.

Its a 2020 call and in them i have full trust. Real tough balancing act to work between selling on staying solvent AND keeping us competitive, let alone challenging for a promotion spot. Always gonna duck and dive in this manner every window until we have Power Court. We do superbly well to hold our key players. Bree close to one but not top tier altho i put him there last week. Hes not a vreat defender for the Champ let alone above.

Sounds like we have a great shout at better in the house as a replacement already.

No rumours of incomings, Lowe saying we're fine at RWB with Browne & Potts... Says we looked at Cody Drameh but couldn't promise game time because Browne has been so good... The guy's a gobshite.

Few outgoings for us then with Jerome and Bree and apparently offers on the table for Cornick which given his contract is up in the summer you probably have to look at taking

Gives us quite a few squad places to play with. Deadline day we have a game so surely we will be looking to get stuff done ahead of that otherwise it could be a bit chaotic. Thinking we will at minimum he looking at a centre half, midfield player. Perhaps a striker if we also let Cornick go although that will be tricky as it will have to be someone happy to be a rotational given morris and Adebayo are the main men.

Get the incomings right and a real opportunity to bridge the gap to the ex premier league clubs currently occupying the playoffs and make a real string push to be the best of the rest outside of Burnley and Sheff Utd. Think it will likely have to be loans though which always leaves you exposed for the summer

Boro linked to Iqbal.

No idea if we're making a move but it'd be annoying if they beat us to another long-term loan target. Especially when they clearly don't need him.

Archer is just a last 25 minute player for them so far.

They're proper going for it. Chelsea of the Champ.

Talk of Gyokeres to Everton for £18m. Probably too good to turn down but I fear for us if we do sell him.

Apparently looking at Jack Walton from Barnsley who is there back up keeper.

Don’t really understand the need for a keeper, we’ve just loaned Macey to Portsmouth and Shea was back out on the pitch yesterday so seems close.

Macey was responsible for a couple of the goals when we played Newport, a bit of a shocker! And the end of last season was a bit desperate between the sticks, if we bring in another fringe keeper it means we can play Isted and not depend on an emergency loan.

Probably £12M would be too much to turn down. That is a whopping deal for Cov.

But yeah, we sell one of the best RBs in the division for just an initial £500K.

Swansea and Luton also want to sign Josh Key from Exeter, who is out of contract in the summer.

We didn't have a choice considering he could walk for free in the close season.

Sounds like a great plan but Swansea can offer more in wages while we can offer more play time?

In waivers we can find some very good players.

Luton should really be pushing on players that we are really in the shouting for a play off spot. We can’t compete on wages, but certainly can on League position.

Why? Bell has been very good, maybe a dip in form but a decent player.
Terrible Wing back for me. Gives the ball away in advance positions 75% of the time. I think hed be great as the Potts replacement on the left of a three

We're being linked with Konrad De La Fuente on loan. 21yr old US international who plays for Marseille. He's been out on loan at Olympiakos but has struggled for game time, previously on the books of Barcelona.

He's a winger/ forward.

Well random.
