Weird fact before Austin gets sold for more, but Liverpool's sale of Sterling is the most QPR have recieved from a transfer. (£10m)

Rumour among the haddocks that our James Henry might be about to join Charlton for £500k.

Really hope that isn't true!

Just been confirmed by a local reporter as being true, trying to negotiate a deal with Wolves.

Would hope Gudmundsson isn't going to be used as a bargaining tool, would make the whole thing pointless.

Biased of course but I think he's one of the better attacking midfielders in the division. Would like to see an attacking trio of James Henry, Jed Wallace and Michael Jacobs next season as it looks more unlikely that we will buy a Sako replacement.

I think we would both rather keep our respective players

RVLP and Dave Edwards around there too, i'm happy with that to be honest.

Exactly the same way I feel about Gudmundsson, excellent at set pieces too.

I would be very happy to have Henry in the squad, would be a good signing for us but I would want him as well as Gudmundsson not instead of.

Gudmundsson may not even be mentioned in negotiations but the fact you were linked early on puts it in your mind.

I didn't read the full article, but QPR are expected to get more than £12.5m through add-ons.

Same for Bournemouth/Lallana too?

Whilst we'd have got £20m from Spurs selling Bale to Real Madrid, if we didn't swap it for Forecast + £3m.

Any idea if Dominic Samuel will be available? Mowbray keeps mentioning him when he's asked about what sort of players he wants to bring in. Will he be in your first team this year?

One of our local reporters said that you have made an approach for him, that we have currently declined. He reckons that if we sign two strikers this Summer, which seems to be Clarke's aim, then Samuel will go out on loan. If we only get one he'll probably stay.

So I would say reasonably likely, definite interest, but won't happen until later in the window if it does..

Yeah, all in all if you include the original fee plus add ons whilst he was with Liverpool, we're making just under £15m for him. Not bad for someone who never played for us!

We've been linked with Tjarron Chery, attacking midifielder from Groningen.

According to wikipedia his last appearance was Huddersfield in the cup, played 13 minutes. Was his only game since the Sunderland PL game. Was rumoured that Adkins didn't like his attitude, and I don't think he even made it to the subs bench under him as manager.

If we get the signings we want then I don't see anywhere open for Samuel. For example a frontline options of Beric, Donaldson, Sa and Pogrebnyak seems to be the aim, and that would already force out Simon Cox, so Samuel would just be a given.

Also think Novakovich is seen to be the more talented of our young strikers, and from what i've seen at youth level I would probably agree. Three years younger and made as many senior appearances already.

Clayton Donaldson has just signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2018. Really pleased following all the speculation recently; I'm glad that we've been able to tie both him and Dimmi Gray down this week.

Yeah i didnt think Samual had played too much first team football since that abysmal 3-0 defeat up at Sunderland.Having watched some of the u21 games last season (Watching them over at Basingstoke tomorrow) Novakovich is definitly the most talented young striker at the club.

If Clarke does bring another striker whether that be Beric then yeah i would send Samuel out to a league 1 club as well as Aaron Tishbola who by all accounts did well at Hartlepool the end of last season.

At least now we will stop bidding for him and look elsewhere.

Guðmundsson and Henry? That could be a potent mix. But Henry, like Jacobs before him, seems to fallen out of favour towards the end of last season. In fact, he only played the full 90 mins twice in the second half of the season (and the last time was in mid Feb). He was an unused sub in three of the final four games. It seems that both La Parra and Edwards are preferred to him. Given that the McDonald fiasco isn't resolved yet, my guess is that it's Henry wanting out.
I fully expected the remains of the bomb squad to depart this summer, but wasn't expecting the likes of KM, Henry and Evans to be elsewhere come August.
I don't have the optimism I had 6 weeks ago, and even with Wallace and Coady, I don't really feel we've strengthened the team. Maybe it's just me.

Cristian Benevente arrives on a free from Real Madrid*

*well, Castilla, their b-team, actually, but still Spanish Segunda.

Looks a superb prospect and West Brom had a £3.5M deal fall apart last month.

Strongly rumoured to have a Real Madrid buy back clause, and probably a huge sell on, but he's our player, cost nothing, and was dubbed the "new Ronaldinho". Looks an absolute box of tricks on the footage I've seen.

We've signed Jordi Hiwula, reminds me of Wilf Zaha.

Could be an exciting signing for us.

Screaming out for a CB.

Can see us signing Poyet on loan again with Coady gone.

West Brom weren't ever interested.

Royston Drenthe cost Madrid £12m and played 65 games for them and he was only average for this division..

From the outside I see that you've bought a player who played 21 games in the third division last season, and the club you are buying from have put a buy back in the deal so if he turns out to be amazing, you'd lose him anyway. If he was called Paul Woods and was born in Southport then you probably wouldn't be excited at all...

Oi, don't go putting the downers on, we haven't had much to cheer about in the transfer market so far.
