Pulled off a lovely assist in our win at FP for Preston's goal

He's had a decent season to be fair, but we need better than him going forward. His 6th or 7th season without every becoming a regular.

Looks like him, Patrick Bauer, Duane Holmes, and Andrew Hughes are the out of contract players certain to leave.

Hopefully Liam Lindsay and Freddie Woodman too, but I think we'll end up keeping at least one of them.

In the midst of the rumours swirling about Edwards, we have apparently had a bid accepted for Isaiah Jones from Middlesborough. LWB or winger but crucially has a bit of pace which we are desperately lacking.

3m apparently. West Brom have also had the same accepted so lets see where he ends up. Better bet at the minute is WBA lets be honest but hes from London so location becomes a factor.

Jones has signed now. For some reason I thought he was left sided but he’s actually right sided.

Still needed as our options there (Walters, Hashioka) have been disappointing for various reasons.

We’ve also let Taylor finally go to Huddersfield. A shame as he never has been given an opportunity. I think it reflects especially poorly on the club on us that we haven’t been able to bring him through one of the most promising forward players in L1/2 from last season. Certainly if I were a player I a similar boat to him I’d be giving pause as to if this was the right club for me, last few of his type haven’t worked out at all.

Always have the Wembley penalty though which took serious balls to take given where he was at the time. Good luck to him

A lot of money has been going back and forth at Luton this week.

Expected release clause for Rob Edwards - £1.5M.
Joe Taylor transfer fee from Huddersfield - £3M. I think that's a great deal for Luton, having signed him for £500K.
Isaiah Jones transfer fee to Middlesbrough - £3m initial rising to £5M.

Your would think we would have another striker lined up relatively soon given its only Adebayo, Morris, Woodrow right now and the latter has become more of a number 10 than an actual striker lately

Signed issac hayden on loan from Newcastle. We need more been there got the t shirt type players especially in the core of the side. Might be better players around and ones that are fitter etc.. But Rob Atkinson and not issac Hayden for the bill

Linked with Adam Phillips at Barnsley as usual, sounds like there is genuine interest though.

Andrew Hughes has extended for another year and it seems Liam Lindsay hasn't been offered anything, which makes sense if the links to Joe Low at Wycombe are true. Although it seems Low is off to Luton.

Also a rumour that were looking at Jed Wallace if we can offload Josh Bowler.

Is Low good enough to be playing for a team that’s pushing for promotion to the Premier League?

We have a lot of young(ish) defenders suddenly, the problem is that a lot of them are constantly injured!

I see a bid of £600,000 has been rejected from Swansea. Presumably Wycombe would want something in the region of £1M.

Right now nope, but in the summer we’ll still be receiving a further £35M in parachute payments so the top 6 will need to be our aim again.

We had 60m this past summer and fat lot of good that did!

But agree would be a strange move considering how many CBs we actually have, especially right footers. If anything we need to offloading some right footers and getting in some LCBs because that’s a major issue for us imo. But I see Lowe is right footed.

I see Leicester have recalled Tom Cannon from Stoke and he is likely to be sold. Think we were on the periphery of the pack looking to get him in the summer and I imagine we have 0 chance now with Sheffield United and Sunderland reported to have offers on the table.

Sheffield United in particular have signed a number of players we have been linked too in the past, really wish we had been as aggressive as them in the summer. 7-10m for Cannon right now is a bit rich for our blood but they got good deals for the likes of Burrows, Cooper, Campbell, O’hare in ranges that were reasonable for us to achieve.

I’m probably looking at this in the wrong way in regard to Cannon. I would assume Leicester would prefer a deal where the buying club guarantees the fee right now rather than “promotion dependent.” I would probably bid up to around £8M initially with another £5M add ons including promotion.

Loaned Jayden Meghoma from Brentford on a season long loan, supposedly could turn into an 18-month loan.

Only 18 but they paid £5m for him from Southampton. Attacking LWB who's in the England U19 squad.

Lots of pace down both sides with him & Kesler-Hayden.

Probably not what you want to hear but he was so far off the pace for us in League One last season. Played a few games and then was kept away from the squad before returning back to Udinese early. Good luck to him but looked nowhere near ready for League One football this time last year let alone championship
