We've signed Algerian international Ahmed Kashi from Metz.

Really excited about this one :tw:

Patrick Roberts looks a done deal to Man City. £11.3m. £5.3m upfront. £40k p/w. Absolutely mads considering he hardly made our squad at times last season

I see Birmingham have our Shane Lowry on trial. Please take him, he has a relegation release clause in his contract and we don't want him and he doesn't want to be here.

Jackett also revealed that Charlton had not yet lodged a bid for winger James Henry, as rumours had suggested towards the end of last week.

The London club have, though, made an inquiry and Jackett didn't rule out the fact Henry could leave Wolves.

"There isn't a move imminent although Charlton have made an inquiry, although no more than that," he said.

When asked if he was looking to move Henry on, Jackett said: "We'll see. For James he's inside the last year of his contract and we'll see over the coming weeks how he figures for Wolves and exactly where he fits it.

"There was an inquiry but there hasn't been anything more than that. He was fit but wasn't selected."

Think letting Henry go would be a big mistake. I was expecting us to build on last year's finish, instead our best player leaves on a free transfer (expected) and our other better players are being linked with other clubs while we don't give them better contracts. I certainly don't see Conor Coady as a vital purchase and deep down I feel we have wasted a lot of money on him.

We look considerably weaker than we did ending the season, and Wolves pissing around with our player contracts isn't doing much to settle the nerves. Feel Jacket is taking a big risk when he could play it safe.

After a year of scouting, and joining to much excitement in January having made the December La Liga team of the month.....Raul Albentosa is heading off to Malaga to join on loan.

Sounds as though he just hasn't settled, and is homesick. Never played enough to get a good opinion on him, but he clearly had some talent.

Played well in our friendly today. Looking forward to seeing him in the next few games to see if he can maintain it.

Just enjoyed Robert's career highlights on sky sports news which were basically:

A slide tackle
A ten yard pass
A blocked shot
Some running around

Man City have got an absolute bargain.. :fl:

Shane Lowry did his best to block our promotion from L1. He was pretty bloody awful.

Shame to see the Spanish international and future Ballon D'or winner Albentosa is not going to be gracing the Championship next season.

Yeah. He's done anything for the first team. Hardly got in the squad most weeks last year. But has been awesome for our youth sides for a few years. Doesn't look ready for Championship level yet so not sure what they're gonna do with him. Money talks though as does an English quota.

You've robbed them blind and he's just going to waste his career playing reserves football.

That is a lot of money! I know he's more attacking than Lewis Cook which puts the price up but at the same age, and Cook having a great debut season for us last year, makes you wonder what we could hold out for.

Saw Patrick Roberts play a lot when he was 16/17 a few times and he was ridiculously good. We had one of the best U18 teams around at the time (twice 2nd in the top division - to Fulham, and a Youth Cup semi final defeat - to Fulham) and Roberts just ran rings around us. Technically as good as any England player around today, youth or senior.

Slightly surprised he didn't feature more for Fulham last year, but I suppose it's easier to throw in youth players when you're team is up at the top of the division playing well. Also I didn't see him last year but he probably needs to bulk up a bit to get used to senior football.

At 18 years old he still has plenty of time to develop and if done correct at Man City then give it a couple of years and £11m will be a bargain - I believe it's only £5.5m up front too before add-ons, so quoting £11m everywhere is inaccurate.

Trying to get Jonny Williams on loan, who Dougie knew from his Palace days. Quality player, albeit injury prone (sounds like every single player we are linked with / have on our books)

I know Bristol City haven't signed anyone, but maybe the players that got them into this division deserve a chance at it? They did piss league one tbf.

Indeedio. The majority of our lot want to see us make an offer for him.. he loved his time here. Only problem being he gets snapped by championship defenders who can't live with him.
