We've signed somebody? Nah surely not!?

In all seriousness, it's been a long time coming. Don't know much about this lad, 3 million euros though?

I have no idea if he's any good or not but will back him while he's at City.
Welcome Jonathan.

I don't know much, it seems he hasn't ever had a great season, and then last year got 15 in 28 in ligue 2 and was part of the team of the season, from a few YouTube videos it seems he heavily favours his right foot (video of last years goals he doesn't use his left to touch the ball at all), likes to lob the keeper and has half decent pace.

Always careful with videos, given enough time and editing you can make anyone look good

If he turns out well then £2.1m is an absolute bargain for a goal scoring Championship player.

If he was English he'd be going for more than double that.

Not going to make any rash predictions, as I don't know the standards of Ligue 2, but he looks a tidy player, and if we have the money to play with then why not take a gamble on him?

That's where Sahko and Giroud came from and he was the player of the year so I would hope he's half tidy! :bl:

He looks like the kind of guy who works at Egyptian markets and offers you camels for your girlfriend :fl:.

Watching the video of his goals last season, he looks a bit like a taller version of Agard. Also seems quite fast.

Given the lack of strikers they have, I imagine he'll stick around their first team this season. Can't see him dropping down a league

Alot of money for someone untested in England..but from Youtube he looks exactly the sort of player we lack. Quick, direct and a tidy finisher. Could be a great bit of business..or Styvar mark II.

Who else remembers Steve De Ridder? Nope no one other than Southampton fans. He looked Premier League class on YouTube when we signed him.

Everyone looks class on YouTube. You don't see clips of their weaknesses, you just see a few classy moments.

It's nothing to judge a player on, just a little tip or guidance on what to expect.

kodjia a few years ago, a more rounded video with a couple of glaring misses in there (although of course like any others, it is designed to show as many of his strengths as possible), will reserve any judgement until he has had a chance to settle and had a run of games, obviously hope that his signing works out fantastically

Why are City fans so fucking defensive, no one needs that c*** video. Good luck to the lad.

Remember me saying Bristol would get desperate?

£2.1m on an unknown, it's Andy Delort all over again.

That amount of money would have got you Adam Le Fondre, I know who I'd rather spend £2m on.

The Ligue 2 player of the year (follows Giroud and Sahko) and top scorer for a promoted team is hardly an unknown. ALF has stated he will move to a 'northern club' which kind of rules us out.
The fact that Palace, West Brom, Leicester and Cardiff were keen on our new boy would suggest he has something about him but we will have to wait and see eh. We may have spunked over £2M on a player but Keith Burt and Cott's haven't put a foot wrong yet and we trust their judgement.
