So many midfielders. Love Luke Berry too. Doesnt look good fir him

Thought this too and it’s another reason I’m not keen on it. Rate Berry very highly but with Pelly and Shinnie de facto starters, Butterfield and Tunnicliffe Jones men, I can’t see him playing much of a role this season.

All going off down our end. It’s going to be a busy few days!

It is reported that the fee for Webster will be £24.5m with Matt Clarke coming here on a season long loan.

We’ve also agreed personal terms with Kasey Palmer on a permanent move according to another report.

10% of the profit I believe. Handy money for them.

Plus the £1.2-£1.8m for the Mings transfer and circa £800k for the Clarke transfer!! Safe to say Evans won’t reinvest even though that income is extra compared to the original budget for the season!

Expected to be £1m at least on this transfer but add ons could increase it further

Bielik to us gathering pace...

Also rumoured in for Clarke too on loan but Bristol City will be favourites with the situation they are in.

We need a CDM, CB and winger before Friday. No two ways about it.

If the up front fee is £24.5M :£ Tom, you've got £2.1M coming your way as we only paid £3.5M up front as I remember it. Most of the clauses which would have taken it to £8M were promotion linked I think.

Sad as I am to see Webster leave, that's a hell of a deal for us, especially with Clarke maybe heading the other way for a year.

Yeah the money side of it is ridiculous. Though I don’t know much about Clarke mind!

The Matt Clarke situation is a perfect example of the state of modern day football with clubs higher up the pyramid hoarding talent. He’s coming off the back of being an important part of a performing Pompey squad to being loaned out by his new Premier League masters without having even played a game for them.

Nixon said we are signing a “big” midfielder from abroad. Pretty sure it’s John Bostock. No idea if he’s any good anymore.

Actually no idea if he was ever any good!
Even worse, some youth called Samba Sow who is a 30 year old playing in Russia. He’s moved club four times on a free transfer. Guess who is paying £750k for him?

I only half joke, he might be ace and we need a shithouse in midfield

Our end suggests we’ve already seen some of the add ons from last season but could be wrong. Either way, we’re getting ‘some’ money even if it’s pittance compared to what you’re getting!

They’ve still got Dan Burn as well who they even loaned back to us until January. What a waste of 6 million that was.

At the moment, deals for Watkins and Maupay are off. Palace failed to meet our asking price, even after we lowered it after Watkins asked to leave. They could obviously come back with another offer but that deal seems to be dead for the moment.

Brighton who had previously bid the most for Maupay are seemingly backing out now and spending the money on Webster instead. No one else has yet got close to our valuation - hoping Sheff Utd get McBurnie as that should see them lose interest.

Valencia passed his medical so should be officially announced tomorrow.

Happy days for the moment but still got 9 more days to survive!

Nathan Baker should be fit for Sunday. Had a head knock so missed our game last weekend but it can't be forgotten when he's fit he's as good as Webster, Kalas or any CB in this league.... massive chance for him now to nail a place down in the side and keep himself healthy.

Looks like we're in for Tom Pearce at Leeds. Need more full backs so I'd be happy with that.

He's good mate but he's not in the Webster class IMHO, few are. If he can stay fit, I think he's a great player but he's seemingly always injured / suspended. I would hope he's grown out of the 'charge' mentality by now but maybe that's why I / we like watching him.
We'll miss AW certainly but we already have a decent replacement in NB so there's no panic as far as I'm concerned, especially with Clarke supposedly arriving for a year.

Josh Earl to go out on loan for some game time, with another left back coming in on loan to compete with Hughes it seems.

Earl has a lot of potential but I just don't see his future at left back, think he'll be converted to a centre half eventually.

Was brilliant first season, poor the second and now released on the eve of the third. Lots of rumours around which I wont repost here for legal reasons!

Morison did say some of the stuff behind closed doors last season was a disgrace, and that certain people might never play in this country again if the truth got out. Speculation that this referred to Meredith, but in all honesty no one knows.

Some on our end seem convinced Kieffer Moore to Bristol City is imminent. Any news on your end @Bristol City lot.
