Killip just has no command of his area, he badly misjudged that cross last night and just flapped at it, goal against Tramere he's rooted on the line with the ball flying across the 6 yard box, a confident keeper comes and blasts that ball away, I had my reservations, I think a few did about him going into this season and I think he's going to cost us more points this season.

His clean sheet stats looked good last season due to the defence protecting him.
The times the opposition get a shot on target, it usually results in a goal.

Harrogate on Saturday. We need to win our 1st home game. We haven't quite found the right formula at home yet, we've either been too tight or too open...we need to fall somewhere between the two.

I can't quite gauge whether Harrogate have started really well or have just had one of those purple patches. They played a pretty ugly brand of football last year but may have improved after a year of settling in. It's going to be a tough game at any rate.

We can't go forever without a home win after 2 excellent victories on the road so I'm going to be confident and go for a win.

Whilst there are definitely negative impacts on the environment for fruit and veg I'm not sure you can realistically compare against meat - beef specifically which has an unsurpassable contribution to greenhouse gas emissions also devouring more land and water and causing more environmental damage than any other single food product.

Yeah but that's the thing, you literally can compare them and it's next to flat earth conspiracy theory shite that killing a cow in the UK, or catching a tuna is worse per KG CO2 than importing fruit and veg from abroad that lefty weed smoking commies consume happily on actual food consumption is so clear its head bangingly frustrating. It also kills thousands more living things per kg. Now like I say, if you think 1000s of insects are less worthy of life than a tuna because of inconclusive evidence that one feels pain more than the other then you crack on. The problem is, people like Vince with money are ill-educated on it and to be fair, I doubt he even cares. He's doing it as a PR stunt and it's clearly working because SSN are taking the bait and have him on. The evidence is so clear. Veganism and plant based diets kill over 1000 living things per 40oz than eating meat does to the equivalent. It is undeniably worse for CO2 and the environment. If their last argument is they value 1 tuna as more important than over hundreds/thousands of bees then from a moral view I think they're a twat, but it's an argument that's open for debate given the amount of warm blooded animals that are killed worldwide die to protect pea fields and other veganism nonsense etc anyway

Problem is as always on this football forum is people who can't even understand football and think 3 games is enough to understand the season and predict where everyone will finish, also think they have the mental capacity to understand politics, economics and the benefits of veganism and carnivores. If you buy locally sourced meat you are not, 1000000% leaving a bigger carbon foot print than someone eating a single piece of avocado on toast. It is physically impossible. The energy, water consumption, importation, fertilisation is probably 10 fold that British locally sourced steak you're eating. The numbers are literally public. Why don't people look at them? You'll also be killing a lot more living things tucking into your leftie metropolitan elite avocado on toast. (BTW toast and the flour and yeast process etc kills millions a year)

I know this isn't a you versus me type argument but I very very rarely have avocado on toast. And when I buy meat I do ensure its British. I do eat a lot of bananas though which is probably a bad fruit for the environment given it comes from miles away.

I think the main message is that we as humans, whether lefties or whomever, can do better as a species. Buying British meat, eating fruit and veg that is sourced locally etc.

Too early in the season to have a make or break kind of game but this game could be huge.

In the last few seasons, the team would go into their shells after a big defeat and we'd lose loads in a row.

After the 4-0 loss to Exeter, this match will tell us a lot about our team. If they bounce back and fight, this team might be different. If they go into their shells, it's just the same old and we will probably not win for a long time.

Carlisle quite evidentially have a lot more quality than us, we need to outfight them and want it more.

I’m surprised Harrogate are unbeaten still. First game of the season and one game in isolation doesn’t count for much but I didn’t think they looked that good. I’d say they look vulnerable to conceding but checked and we’re responsible for 30% of the goals they’ve shipped.
FGR and Vale looked far better sides. Then again, we looked pretty poor for the first 2-3 games compared to now.

I think probably the biggest thing in Harrogates favour is they have a potent forward line with Armstrong and the other one they signed from the conference. It’s a nice get out of jail card many others in this league don’t have the luxury of.

They strike me as otherwise quite well organised and especially tough if they get the first goal. Going to be optimistic though and say this is the game our midfield really clicks. Conlon has had a couple of games back now so see him really taking this over.

We've apparently had a sickness bug going round the squad, having said that most of the players were at the game we had on Tuesday either on or off the pitch. Kenny Jackett appears to have recovered though at least and did his pre game interview earlier.

Would imagine we wll continue with 3-5-2, our back 3 will continue to be the same 3 as it was last Saturday I'd have thought of Mitchell, Beckles and Happe and they were the only players whom played Tuesday night.

We've looked good so far overall, I feel relaxed watching us and the players all seem happy. No away win yet, should really've got it away at Newport but got punished for not putting the game to bed which might undo us against the better sides.

Unsure what to expect from this game, depends on what players we have avaliable. Our first XI is decent enough, but we lack strength in depth in the forward areas especially. Harry Smith and Theo Archibald in particular are playing well for us. Rovers have an experienced and under performing team on paper.

Hard to predict the game tomorrow, clearly hoping for a win...but...isn't there always a but...a game against Stevenage, albeit a very long time ago in the FA Trophy, is probably the worst I have ever seen Rovers play. We were beaten 4-0 and really didn't turn up, not even slightly, we took ineptitude to new levels. The most galling aspect was that it came just a few weeks after we were narrowly beaten 4-3 at home by Derby in the FA Cup Third Round, a game where we really did turn up and even had a 2-0 lead at one point.

I have almost perpetual nightmares when I think of playing Stevenage...although tomorrow we have two players who recently spent time on loan with them...so maybe, just maybe, there is a better headline in the offing.

The Sixfields Tavern at the top of the hill or the Walter Tull pub also at the top of the hill are ok. Decent pints and the early kick off is on big screens. Also have a big outdoor area and away fans are welcome.

They‘re chain pubs but are set up for a football crowd so are fine enough.

A ‘proper pub’, you’re probably looking at the Melbourne Arms in Duston which is 0.9m from the ground according to google maps.
