James Clarke you beauty! Cracking header to win the game.

8 changes from Flynn after the awful display against Northampton. Much better from County. Should have been out of sight first half especially with Dolan missing a penalty. Walsall scoring on HT with first shot on target.

Walsall looked a lot better second half, a more even game but Clarke stepped up at the end. Overall the ‘Port deserved the win on the first half performance.

Some very over dramatic Carlisle texts being read out on Radio Cumbria at half-time. Wonder if those who were "ripping up their season ticket" have taped them back together?
The season tickets are made out of plastic so anyone trying to rip them up will have a hard time. HG did once flush his down the toilet though so maybe they did that.

A last second equaliser against a poor Scunthorpe side may have lifted spirits but it won't have made anyone forget about how poor we were today. It was the usual ten minutes of pressure that is normally too little to late and the fact that Scunthorpe conceded under that pressure is more a reflection on their weakness that a sign of our attacking prowess.

Credit where its due though, Jordan Gibson was very good today.

Was all Barrow up until they scored to be honest, we didn't get started at all. About five minutes after they scored we actually decided to turn up. Said to my dad we might get a goal but we've no chance of scoring two and it's oh so predictable, isn't it? Lots of huff and puff with no end product. Everyone messing about in the box instead of putting their laces through the ball. Adams is beginning to piss me off with how stubborn he is. Leaving it until the 86th to make a sub. Some of these players are shattered already because they're running themselves into the ground - Callum Cooke will end up with an injury soon enough. Also shoutouts to Oscar Threlkeld for being the laziest fucking footballer I've seen. Lots of abuse for Vernam where I sit, mainly for missing a chance toward the end. He's the only one getting us forward!

Barrow looked decent enoughto me. Thought if they showed more ambition they might have come away with more than a point. When I say lack of ambition, I'm talking about the constant fannying about with the goalkeeper and centreback, wasted oh so much time. We're gonna get swept away by the more ruthless teams.

Can't see this team anywhere near the playoffs unfortunately. Garbage.

If that’s your definition of excellent then I don’t only feel sorry for you, I pity you. Your team were shite, as were mine.
He has no idea if Scunny were excellent or not as he does not go to games, he just pretends that he does.

No surprises today. We miss a bucket load and a Mark Cooper side boiling the piss of a big home crowd.

I'd be fuming if I was a barrow fan though. Battered us for 20 minutes, scored and then had zero intention of going forwards for the rest of the game. If they'd have carried on the way they were doing and got a second it would've been game over. In the end, they nearly lost it.

As for us, dogshit. Recruitment in forward areas absolutely wank for about the tenth year on the bounce.

Good, solid win. Things starting to look brighter and hopefully we can get a bit of consistency. Table starting to look better too, hopefully we keep rising up it.

Pleased Nombe got off the mark with a brace. He's strong and good with the ball at his feet. Bit of a confidence boost in front of goal should propel him up the scoring charts.

A really good performance by us today, our best of the season so far, and the scoreline flattered Salford. We gave them a good mullering really.

The return to fitness of Callum MacDonald was key for us. With a natural left back available, Mellon was happy to switch to a back four and we looked much more fluent and threatening as a result. I was delighted that Elliott Nevitt got his first league goal, and his performances have been impressive considering he was playing parks football four months ago.

Sam Foley also deserves a special mention, with another man-of-the-match performance. A fantastic attitude and great fitness levels for a 34 year old.

3-0 to the Os at HT. I felt we were given a really, really soft FK in the build up to our first goal, but our 2nd and 3rd goals were superb. Rovers look fine, think we're just playing well right now, a goal each for our forward 3 is really encouraging and Archibald is simply too good for L2

I'd kill for us being 'fine' right now. Truth is we have been awful all season

A forgettable half. Problems on the motorway meaning some Dale fans just getting here at HT. at least they’ve not missed much!
Half time? I wish. Still sat in the traffic on the M1 now. What a nightmare of a day. The other Dale fans will be home by now. We are still 0.7 miles from the Mansfield turn off. We’ve moved 1 mile in 5 and a half hours.

Blimey! On the way back I saw the miles of queues southbound near to Chesterfield, what happened?

A disappointing performance from Dale today. Certainly not the attacking threat we’ve been used to. A draw fair and a point on the road can’t be sniffed at. A nice unbeaten run going. Can we keep that going v Oldham?

2 nil against a team that hadn’t lost isn’t too shabby.
Harrogate we’re pretty poor though, although they did have a couple of tidy midfielders.
Pett winds me up, apart from 2 tackles he was really poor today, gibbo played well but I’m not sure the left is the best option for him.
Wilson deserved his goal, linked up play well.
Why did the noisy little bunch of Harrogate fans hate procter so much?
Wozza is brilliant.

Have to say that Sutton Utd we’re excellent for an hour today and deserved to be a couple of goals ahead. Ritchie Bennett caused a lot of problems and Donovan Wilson was sooo close to giving them the lead with a shot that hit the underside of the bar. They pressed us so effectively and have some good players so they will be top half, easily.

Luckily for us, Matt Taylor changed our formation, we went to a back four and brought on Owura Edwards and Kyle Taylor who made a huge difference. Nombe was a threat, scored two although the first one has been given as an own goal. After that we were dominant and should’ve extended the lead.

6 games unbeaten and only one goal conceded. Dawson is way too good a ‘keeper for L2 and we’re lucky to have him. George Ray at the back has been superb too. We’re looking good….so far.

I was just thinking that mate, no doubt he will be blaming the players. I honestly dont know why he bothers being in management, he's got enough ability to make a good living outside of the game
BTw how are your lads doing, steady start to the season and you must be optimistic about getting in the play offs come season end ?

Ex Bradford maybe?

Wilson needed that today and a great finish, he’s a quality player but just wasn’t getting the rub of the green so delighted for him, his link up play, movement and touch is way about this level so if he can find the finishing we are going to benefit.

Thought Harrogate were poor, even with 11 men. Came for a 0-0 like last season, lots of long ball and trying to rough us up but we took it in our stride. We are usually poor against sides that do that (think of those games against Stevenage at home under Westley and Maamria) but we matched them for effort and did seem to have the quality they lacked.

Once their lad got sent off, and it had been coming with him as he should of walked after 20 minutes, it was probably the most comfortable I’ve been watching us for a long time.

Coach fire around 13:30, which apparently was put out by 14:00, but the road also set on fire I believe due to diesel being spilled on it. They will be resurfacing it overnight. So we sat and waited, and waited. We finally got off at junction 29 at 20:00, just stopped at services on M1 northbound to finally get some food and drink, as we hadn’t eaten or drank for hours. Even if it wasn’t the most amazing match, I know where I would have rather been today!

It was basically a league team v a non league team today. Their tactics are so antiquated and non league style, I'm amazed they've gone unbeaten until now. Tried to ruffle us up but our 2 goals were class. We went a bit sloppy after the second goal but the game was won, so understandable.

Worrall is probably in the top 3 best players in the league. He's so good.

I feel much better about our chances. We've played 6 or 7 of the top 8 so far and lie in 7th. We now have a pretty good run of fixtures (barring orient) . Our players are a definite upgrade on the last few seasons and it seems like there is actually some thought on how to combat the opposition and that some work has been done in training.

We need to build a little run now and get ourselves in among the top 3 if we can.

Interesting game at Sixfields today. I thought we played quite well first half but Cobblers were giving us problems at set pieces and crosses into the box and I've no idea why their goal was disallowed. I didnt see the ref speak to the lino and seem to guess that Critchlow was impeded. I wasn't sure, he looked like he just slipped.

Second half we started to mix things up and try and find Tyrese Simpson with more direct balls. He scored a neat finish on the turn and then wasted 2 other chances when put through, one a good save by the keeper the other when he tool too long and was crowded out. Cobblers were driven on by the impressive Koiki and continued to look dangerous from corners, their equaliser obviously coming from one.

Overall thought a draw fair, both sides hit the woodwork and had their moments. From my point of view a good away point.

I’m pissed but it was a 65/35 point today,

Happy today (though spend the 2nd half in the bar)

To go 50 minutes without conceding is a remarkable effort for our defence before the obvious and inevitable cock up happened for rochdales goal.

Rochdale we’re the better side throughout and realistically should of won, we managed to battle to another point though

from a mansfield perspective with the current players and format weve another point on the board - 42 more to go
