Generally no issue with Forest Green fans, though did feel they could have been more respectful when Mark Ellis suffered a serious injury at the fixture a few years ago and an ex FGR player too. Maybe they didn’t appreciate how bad it was at the time. While they might not bring the largest numbers to PP, their support makes itself heard and they get behind their team.

There was a time when having a large crowd at home seemed to unnerve the players and we didn’t play to our best, but recent play-offs suggest that might be consigned to the history books.

No idea how this will pan out, probably sharing the points the most likely outcome.

If you come and play the shithouse stuff it will be a feisty place. Your team will not get a nice welcome but your supporters will. No reason for any animosity towards any of you.
If you haven't been converted to the vegan thing yet the hotdogs will do the trick. Avoid.
Tranmere is one of my favourite away games. I confirm there has always been a good welcome for FGR supporters, I've had good banter with the home fans.

I do expect the match to be feisty, we are both top of table vying for auto-promotion.
BUT FGR's style of football has evolved this season and is probably the most watchable in the league.
FGR are 5th in Fair Play Table with 40 points from 37 yellow and one red.
Tranmere are down in 19th spot with 61 points from 43 yellow and 4 red.
So shithouse label is unjustified.

I suspect the % of vegans in the FGR supporters ranks is much the same as in society. It is our chairman who is a vegan and he is great in publicizing what he believes are the benefits. I still enjoy my Sunday rump steak.

It’s a big game. It’s a rivalry. And it’s exactly the type of game both sets of players, staff and fans want to be involved in at this stage of the season. I can’t wait.

According to Rowberry Azzaz will be back for Barrow but Telford will be out again, so it will give our new striker we signed from palace a chance to show us what he can do, we are expecting a decent crowd for this game as we've been starved of live football since before xmas, 3 points and dripfart falling into cardiff bay never to be seen again would make for a perfect weekend.

Same here, enjoyed the company of a group of Tranmere fans before the play-off final at Wembley, was impressed by how gracious they were after the game when the result hadn't gone the way of their team. Wished them all the best for the next season and their attempt to join us in the League...was really happy when they did!

Less impressed with the fan who punched one of our players during the pitch invasion after the play off semi-final at the end of our second year in the League. Not at all impressed with the former Rover (both teams) who was charged with, and found guilty of, directing homophobic language towards one of our players in the game at TNL last season. I hope he gets a warm welcome when his current team visit later in the season!

Colchester away for us. On paper it should be a win but we seem to always lose at Layer Road, or whatever the generic sponsored new ground is called. It will be interesting to see how we cope without Tyrese Simpson and what the new striker on loan from Charlton, Davidson offers. Jack Payne is back running and training so hopefully won't be long before we have him back, as I don't think Gladwin and Williams can handle too many 90 minute matches for whatever reason.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Not even in the top 10 that we've played this season if you're talking about decent, passing and flowing football. Boring, backwards passing, and then a lump up field when you can't break the team down on the wings. Dirty niggly fouls constantly to try and break up the play.

So how many supporters do you think you will bring to the mill on Saturday.
I would be very, very surprised if we bring more than 400.
If we were playing well and in the hunt we might bring 6-800, but we are barely getting a shot off per game at the moment.
Without doing any research I think we've got something like 1 point from our last 4 games, 3 wins in our last 14 or 15 games?
Not only that but we are incredibly boring to watch and have a manager who refuses mix up the formation or starting XI in any meaningful way.
Throw a couple of key injuries in the mix and I'm honestly relieved we have 30 odd points on the board because we're gonna need them.
Put Mansfield on your accumulators people, we are utter gash, free money.

Manny Monthe did himself no favours with that. No reason to be horrible to your fans that day. A family wandered into The Green Man before the game and despite their initial trepidation soon realised that apart from light hearted banter nothing was going to happen. Somebody let them have their table. Found some eating German sausages and told them we would report them to Dale Vince which was about as bad as i saw.
Sadly there will always be dickheads who do dickhead things.

You have got more chance of walking on Mars than you have of Cooper admitting he has made a mistake. It`s just not in Mr Bitter`s DNA not to blame somebody else for his cock ups.
Think you can still get bottles of Mark Cooper's Bitter in the TRFC fanzone.

We do the shithouse stuff now. Got to adapt.

I love Yatesy he was a great player (well apart from getting schooled by Stan Collymore) and is a top bloke. Went to the same school as me too. He didnt score for us in almost 200 games so it felt weird to see him score 2 in one game v Everton!!

Scored a decent amount that season. In one game he got the ball on the edge of our box and ran to about 40 yards from the opposition goal then wellied the ball into the cowshed. Turned to the crowd and shouted "Ran out of steam". He isnt remembered for just for that Everton game but it is enough.

Sam Burns is now our second top goalscorer after his two goals tonight, what a pathetic team
Our top scorer last season was Tom Clifford, with 3!

All 3 from FK's

We had at most, 22 goals from open play. Fun

I remember him warming the hands of the Northampton Town keeper at their old ground once with a shot from outside the box, think that was the closest I ever saw him score.
He was usually the defender kept back as he had a bit of pace so chances were limited with us.
Yatesy was part of our finest moment winning the league title ahead of Bristol City in 1990, even came back as kit man then defensive coach while Darrell Clarke was here. A legend in most gasheads eyes!

Couldn't locate the written report on the finding against Monthe, which would normally be published by now and would make interesting reading from a legal perspective. Hopefully he has learned from the ban and homophobic awareness sessions. While it's probably too much to hope that FGR fans let it go, Stokes the recipient of the abuse in this instant has a homophobic incident in his own football history, which did not stop your club taking him on, trusting he'd learned from that mistake.

Stokes was the captain, it was him who was reporting the incident to the referee...there has never been any indication that the comments were directed at him, unless of course you know otherwise.

Both Monthe and Stokes have moved on and incident is now history.
I'm happy to put it to bed.

Peter Clarke had words with Monthe so he must have heard something.

So how many supporters do you think you will bring to the mill on Saturday.

12 would be double what they deserve after the last two performances. I’d guess at 300ish as everyone is pissed off.

If you are going saturday The Mersey Clipper, or whatever its called now, is your best bet for a pint because most of our fans avoid it due to it being Liverpool biased.

I don’t know any more, which is why I was interested in reading the adjudication.

Water under the bridge. Lets concentrate on the future, which looks ok for both clubs.

TBH Manny always came over as a nice bloke so thought it was out of character and probably stupid heat of the moment (still agree he should have been punished) though then again IIRC he's a bit hardcore Christian so that might have coloured it. Anyway, agree it's time to move on.

Maybe those bakers in Norn Iron will bake him a nice cake to cheer him up.
