Freezing cold Tuesday night at BP with 2 massively out of form teams, I reckon we might beat our lowest attendance of the season for this one.

Tickets sold: Aprox 5500.
Actual attendance: Probably around 3900. :bl:

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
This personally this may be Carlisle’s do or die game, maybe not as such almost win but certainly a must perform.

Saturday I’d say seen us have the first mass positive game of the season, big hyped up scenes at the end of the game, new side, played better and finally won…..fans giving the side an enormous amount of cheers at the end, more than they should but it’s do or die time so fans do that.

But can they build on this or knock it all back down. On paper I think defeat very probable fans won’t complain if we did lose, but we have four more favourable games after it and if we can at least come out of Tuesday in good spirits, be hard working, hard battling show progress, less nonsense and stupid crap……. Build on some fanbase
Hope that could see an improved atmosphere and backing for them other games.

What we don’t need is an awful half hearted performance full of the mass tippy happy clap trap which winds everyone up.

Have a go, nowt to lose, work hard come out of game giving fans hope maybe we can do better second half of season and if we got something all the better

Colchester Away, they seem a bit hit and miss but draw an awful lot so will be a tricky one despite our away form, bit of pressure after dropping two points from a great position Saturday to get a result.

At our place Colchester served up some of the worst anti football antics I have seen following the Vale, probably worse than prime Stevenage under Westley or Accrington under Coleman but at home I imagine they wouldn't be going to those extremes so hopefully a bit more of an entertaining watch.

We've got many of our key players back now and Byers could make a full return against the opponents he broke his leg against, Clark obviously misses out be it a 1 or 3 game ban for his red so expect Sang will come in and him or John move to RWB. Might make the odd change to freshen it up after working hard Saturday so could see Stockley rested for Hackford and maybe Harper out for Byers.

Want to be winning this really as we need to start being efficient against the lower half sides if we want to get automatic promotion but will probably be a frustrating 0-0 or something, they don't concede many at home and we don't away so probably a tight game.

Famous last words, but I’m fairly confident about this one. I just can’t see a Williamson team having the game plan that causes us problems - getting men behind the ball, not worrying about having any possession, being really physical in midfield etc, and I can’t really see us not coming out on top in a game of ‘who can pass the ball around better’.

He's changed his ways, only 47% possession vs Fleetwood.

We were still trying to pass the ball, but it was a terrible pitch at Fleetwood. Both teams were giving it away.

Maybe it suited us, a leveller for a team who’ve been bottom 2 all season. Perhaps we should make Brunton Park into a potato field and we might actually pick up some points on it.

This.

If we try to beat Notts county at their own game we’ll get torn a new one.

I don’t buy this idea that BBC Cumbria spin that we need to go direct route one and everything will be ok, I want us to try to become something resembling a football team ahead of our national league campaign next season. But in certain games before then we need to realise where we are and what we are and our limitations. This is one of those games.

We will get beat. Absolutely no doubt about it, but how we get beat will depend on our approach.

Me too. Never been to Crewe and won't be on Tuesday. I'll be at work following on twitter and Fotmob. Holiday booked for the home match two weeks later.

Looks like us and Crewe are all agreed then. Let's shake on it and do like West Germany and Austria in 1982. No injuries, nobody has to take time off work or spend money.

Bromley (H).

Looking forward to hosting our promotion brothers tomorrow night. They’ve had a great season so far and proved many people on here wrong with how they’ve adapted and stepped up to the level, as I predicted they would in pre season.

As for us, we’re coming into this on the back of a couple of draws that overall have probably been fair results on the balance of play / chances, and it’s been a bit of a transition period for us getting so many new players into the team so results were always going to suffer a little as a result. But now some of the lads returning from injury (Madden, Fleck etc) have got a few games under their belts along with the new lads, got to think our results will have an upturn at some point soon, hopefully.

Think we’ll look something like this tomorrow:

Thompson
Sheckleford McFadzean Grimes Sparkes
Naylor Banks
Mandeville Dobra Colclough
Pepple

Boot
Horton
Oldaker
Fleck
Metcalfe
Duffy
Madden

I’ve foolishly decided to go this game.

I’d love nothing more than to see us spring a shock.

But no. Notts county have far too much quality not to take advantage of the numerous gifts we’ll hand out. If Jodi Jones plays on their right, that will be a worry with an inexperienced kid and Jordan Jones covering that side.

We’ve not backed up a win in best part of 2 years and I can’t see that changing here.

Notts County 3-0 Carlisle United
Nearly gave in to temptation but I can't justify taking the afternoon off work. Opted to go to Cleethorpes a week on Saturday instead and chalk off a new ground.

As for tomorrow, it's a big ask - but we need results. Kadeem Harris committing to the rest of the season is a huge boost, and there's clearly some quality among the new recruits. It's just a question of whether they can develop enough of an understanding.

Accrington away is never an easy game, even when they're struggling, and we've not won two League games in a row since February last year, so will take a draw to be honest.

This is one we've really got to be winning if we want to be clinging onto the coat tails of the playoff teams. We know enough about Bromley to know how to set up against them, but then I suppose so do they. Got to fancy we'll take it by a goal though.
Im so sick of playing Bromley.

I’m more nervous facing Morecambe tomorrow than I was when Walsall visited t’other day.

It’s just typical City, but we seem to be putting these kinds of banana skins behind us.

Our great form is largely down to fielding a consistent starting XI. I just wonder whether GA is thinking of mixing things up a bit.

Same XI for me; try and get the game out of reach of Morecambe by 45-60 mins, then make your changes.

GK: Sam Walker

CB: Aden Baldwin
CB: Jack Shepherd
CB: Cieřan Kelly

RWB: Brad Halliday
LWB: Lewis Richards

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Pattison

AM: Antoni Sarcevic
AM: Bobby Pointon

ST: Calum Kavanagh

A win (if other results go for us) will likely put us 2nd in the league.

I understand Lee Angol’s red card hasn’t been overturned, so he’ll be suspended. That said, there’s a few other City rejects in their ranks, who’ll have a point to prove. Luke Hendrie, Yann Songo’o and Callum Cooke to name three. We’re very good at making Jordan Slew look like prime Lewandowski, so we’ll need to overcome that, too.

They’ll come and frustrate us, no doubt. But I believe our quality will shine through.

PS, we haven’t scored a late, late winner in what seems to be ages. It’s that type of game.

2-0 City
