MK (a) tomorrow.

My thoughts very much in line with others on here regards this one. We have a strong squad that can cope with an above average injury list, but it’s rumoured we could have up to 11 players missing tomorrow which just makes it extremely unlikely we’ll have enough to get a result against an in form side at their place… but definitely not impossible as we still have quality in the final third that can hurt them. However, whether we can keep the back door shut is another question entirely with what’s missing…

So assuming the rumoured 11 are all out (Dunkley, Tanton, Metcalfe, Fleck, Daley-Campbell, Palmer, Naylor, Madden, Jacobs, Jones, Mohuiddin), this is how I think we’ll line up:

Boot
Mandeville Araujo Grimes Gordon
Oldaker Banks
Markanday Dobra Colclough
Grigg

Thompson (GK)
Sheckleford
Jessop
Williams
Berry
Cook

Would leave us one short from being able to name a full bench, and also include x2 first year pro’s (Cook & Jessop). Yeah that looks pretty bleak.

As I said though, there’s definitely quality in the starting XI (& Berry from the bench) to hurt MK going forward, so fingers crossed we just go and out score them  Williams deputised well in the game vs Barrow, but for me Araujo needs to play as he’s a much better footballer despite lack of experience. Williams gives the ball away too much for my liking, and a team with MK’s quality will be all over that & punish us if we keep giving it them back, so for me we need as many players out there comfortable on the ball as possible. People may look at it and say it wouldn’t work with two left footed CB’s if it is Araujo & Grimes, but no one ever bats an eye lid at two right footed CB’s do they?

Fingers crossed any of (ideally all) Naylor, Madden, Jones & Jacobs are available as those are currently just doubts. Madden & especially Naylor being available would give me a lot more confidence of getting anything.

Just no more injuries tomorrow night please!!!

5, arguably 6 of those are starters given a fully fit squad. Minging. Just got to do what you can when things are like this, happens to everyone at one point for another. At least we're not chasing the title and threatening to be derailed, or the other way fighting relegation. Be rate.

A couple of standout juicy looking games at the top and a pair of tasty fixtures at the bottom for Tuesday night.

A place we've a good record at but we're not going so great at the moment. Not sure what to expect really, could go any way. We've enough talent to win, we're hard to beat but we aren't free scoring either.
1-1 draw.

Sat at home watching everyone else play is nice. Hoping for an Andy Cook booking against Barrow, would take him out of the game next Saturday.

With or without Cook, you will beat us comfortably

Forgot about you having Grigg. I really liked him at MK and I only hope he doesn't come back and rub our noses into letting him go.

I somehow forgot Markanday existed when I did my team prediction! Not sure how! I’d go with your line up knowing what we know now.

Enjoy! I can’t get away from work early enough :(
No work tomorrow thankfully, although alarm is set for work 5am Wednesday and I don't anticipate getting in much before 1am so the day after is going to be fucking fun

I vaguely remember him doing an interview at start of season where he said the away game he was looking forward to was MK as he’d really enjoyed his time there. Think he said he’d like to score….

Same here with work shit getting in the way otherwise I would have made the trip from Leeds.

We’re definitely not pulling up any trees right now so this looks like a tricky fixture. 2-0 to the Dongles.

Yeah I went 3-0 on Bobs. I’m normally pretty optimistic but we are bare bones and MK are top of the form table.

Colclough too... he never got anywhere close to the fanfare that Grigg got but that hat trick against Fleetwood is still a memorable moment.

Colclough was only loan with you lot though wasn’t he?

He’s some player when he’s fully fit with a run of games behind him, but struggled for fitness ever since he did his ankle here in a game in January and we’ve not seen the best of him since then. Be interesting to see whether Cook goes with him or Berry tonight from the left.

I’m in Leeds this morning for work too but got half day in because I’m in London tomorrow and Thursday luckily so can sneak off and make this one. First away game since Donny which feels like an age ago.

Seen we have sold over 850 in advance which I think isn’t bad at all. Will see what side we put out but not overly optimistic

Don't know what to make of this for us - Accrington are in relatively decent form , we are going for 8 losses (i think) at home on the bounce ; would take a draw .

Probably our lowest home crowd of the season below 4.5k I reckon -- that's followed by home games against : Crewe, Harrogate (boxing day ) , Port Vale , Notts and Chesterfield which will probably be our 5 biggest crowds of the season i suspect with big away numbers for 4 of those ; not an easy run and we really need to get that home win asap .

Only a loan sure, but he's one of the more memorable ones solely because of that one game. It was a surprise to see how low he ended up dropping but I'm glad to see him back in the EFL.

One of the goals that just sticks in the memory for me randomly was one we scored at stadium MK years and years ago. Felix Bastiens, think it was the winner, maybe 2-1. The goal didn't mean much I don't think, just remember it being one of those away ends that was particularly drunk and when that went in it was a good one to be in the mix celebrating

Drummond recalled from Oldham. Probably means Maddens going to be out for a little while, but makes sense to do this anyway as we’re obviously thin on the ground atm.

Surprised we’ve not recalled Hobson from Barnet too tbh
I'd sooner we'd done that, I'm not sure there's a footballer in Drummond but I do rate Hobson, and he's doing really well at Barnet they love him. Wonder if there's a no recall clause. Berry always seems like he'd be a serviceable forward to me, get it to him on the half turn, or hanging off the last man. We do need to be wrapping Grigg up in cotton wool that's for sure

It’s probably more linked to there only being Grigg fit and available upfront now that Maddens out. Whereas in midfield we’ve still got plenty of options, and I’m assuming if we don’t recall him that means at least one of Jones or Naylor is going to be available tonight.

Although Sunday will still be heavy in some of the players legs we do have McGrath back available, Westbrooke and Close, Clifton, Gibson, Maxwell didn’t get any or more than 45 minutes so no real excuses. It will be interesting to see the lineup as McCann as openly stated that he is fed up of us not getting going until the second half

Yep definitely a good time for Newport to play us. I don't usually back against us but I've had a tenner on a Newport win at 8/1.
I don't bet.

I've had to book holiday for this evening but I may have been better off working in a nice warm supermarket.

We are likely missing half our team tonight. Youngsters on bench and unable to recall loans means it would be minor miracle to not drop some points tonight.

There have been 15 games between MK Dons and Chesterfield since 2004...

The home side has won one of those.

Add to that our last win against Chesterfield was in August 2014 in a game we should have lost.

Confidence has dipped.
