The reason we have a football club at all is Stroud and Nailsworth were working class mill towns, fair bit different from your really rural Cotswolds and not at all posh until the wave of Londoners in the seventies.
There are undoubtedly areas in the county with plenty of wealth but it isn't difficult to find places, particularly in the bigger towns and the Forest, where there is pretty extreme poverty.

Well you judge it at the end of the season when everyone has played everyone home and away, not halfway through.
Maybe if you had practiced what you preached there then you wouldn’t have made an absolute tit of yourself for the last 4 seasons by claiming half way through every one that Exeter would be promoted.

I can’t believe anyone spoke to you tbh.

I’m not left wing by any stretch but even I find most of your political views pathetic. Bit rich to use terms like ill educated or lackIng common sense looking at some of the utter bollocks you regurgitate.

And talking of a stain/insult to the working class, what about that utter cretin JRM and the like that you fanboy over. True men of the people they are, laughing at us all.
Hahaha my post was obviously in jest but you pick up on the legitimate points I made and not the ones I joked about. A true FGR'er. The FGR idealism's are ill-educated and do lack common sense. Just see the ground proposals for irrefutable evidence. Attack JRM all you like, but votes tend to be on our side, not yours. A true libertarian and a people's man, despite his persistence to remain in cabinet on the attack of civil liberties we've seen and where he has let me down, at least he lead the push back on more restrictions and won. A true hero in cabinet. You'd love me to say a Chinese made LFT influx destroying the environment was the way to go, but alas, plastic and nonsensical global imports on that scale appeal to FGR's ethos as is evident. You'll never be carbon neutral for the next 20,000 years now. Ignoring the hypocrisy of the environmental damage man made beef costs and other meats to the planet and your love of bug killing pesticides cause the natural chain and the billions of life it costs, rest assured, you have a stunning public transport to the fuel the engulfing CO2 we breathe in walking up to your ill-lighten stadium that your basket case resides in.

Please include relative poverty in your post and do not do an injustice to actual poverty. This country you are literally classed as in poverty if you had a roof over your head, all the latest tech and 3 meals a day. Don't do genuine poverty such a disgusting injustice. For once get your head of your own arse.

Fucking hell you have a problem with absolutely everything
Seems like the sort of person who would have an argument when looking at themself in a mirror...tempted to add to my (very small) ignore list as I am getting beyond bored with them.

What’s funny Devon Lad is both of us have something in common, both had football banning orders in the past and been forced to hand in our passports during a major tournament (think you said you had to do that too).

Difference seems to be I’ve grown up and broadened my mind since then whereas you still seem to be a narrow minded right wing anti vax mob conspiracy theory backing c*nt. And you then have the gall to call people ill educated.

Fed up explaining to London friends that no, FGR and its fan base are not the West Country counterpart of Dulwich Hamlet. Yeah the vegan food there is great, but no we're not all vegans.

You see the reactions of our more intelligent upper class types at PM question times. Like our PM, they are incapable of coherent debate so they revert to abuse and insults. DL is one of them so I wouldn't bother wasting your breath on him.

Anyone know why we can use ifollow for tomorrow's games?

Thought it was only international break weekends we could do that

Our game at Carlisle(unless there are goldfish on the pitch) is available on ifollow so I assume it will be available for all other games.

I've been told the Northampton v Crawley game is available on iFollow.

Family duties all day tomorrow so probably won't be able to watch anyway.

I’m pretty sure all games are available on iFollow (Oldham v Sutton is) and that would be due to it being FA Cup weekend.

Josh Hawkes has been recalled by Sunderland ahead of our game against Scunny. Potentially a big blow for us!!!

Just a short term recall due to Covid it seems. He should be back by the end of the month (hopefully before the Forest Green game).

Millen has made us a bit more solid defensively against the teams down the bottom, but we are a dire team in terms of the final third and I can’t see anything other than a comfortable Bradford win. They are a better side than our recent opponents and have got it in them to score 1 or 2 goals and then comfortably see it out against our toothless attack.

I don’t think The First Lord of the Treasury or The Leader of the House are what I would call intelligent. I think they are privileged to have a classical education. They have been lucky enough to have been given an exclusive education that Devon Lad and most of us are denied. But I would not equate their education, knowledge of Greek gods and use of Latin phrases automatically with intelligence.

Think you have not really got the gist of my post. In fact I would describe our first Lord as an educated fool. Also the house leader is begging our cancellor(freudian slip) not to increase NHI contributions as it will hit high wage earners more than the working classes.

Well I certainly agree with that bit.

Don't know where it's come from that the game might be abandoned, nobody here has mentioned the possibility as far as I know, there's only light rain and not a sniff of a possible pitch inspection but I did notice the Bratfut forum posts were all talking about this game with a big 'if it goes ahead'. Could affect the away attendance if Bantams fans are thinking that this game is touch and go?
