Quiet on here. Did notts lose?
I actually thought we could get something from this game but hey ho
A thumping win by Colchester which propels them in the play offs and can only wish them well
Fleetwood have had a more than decent season so they can hold their heads high. Now for mid table champions !!
Fair comments mate, Pete Wild echoed the same thing about missed chances. Some days they go in, another day just wide. You must be well pleased with your team and manager. How often does a team come from mid tableish, put together some cracking results at the back end of the season and before you know it there right on the mix. Don't slip up !After a decent opening ten minutes or so from us, I thought Fleetwood went on to have the better of the chances in the first half. At least three or four very decent opportunities and on another day that goes the other way. The second half was a different story, but I think that we scored the second goal so soon after the first played a big role in that.
Title and top three gone. Fuck off City. Absolute losers.

Good to see you're not sour though. We just tend to bitch, moan about the officials and talk endlessly about injuries every single week, especially when we lose, much less than certain clubs.
We did, 2-1 late on.
It was a timely reminder of that run of refereeing decisions in recent years. Obviously yesterday, Elliot Watt’s red card when McManaman equalised at the death under Hughes, the main one of course when Ian Goodison took Kyle Reid’s head off with his elbow and Darren Drysdale only booked him (then failed to give a trip in the box on Mark Yates in the same game). Not that I’m counting, ‘They even themselves out over the season…..’ yeah right.Every time we win at Bradford, it's somehow the ref's fault... Thought we adapted well after being on the ropes for the first half hour and stayed in the game long enough to nick it. Hard fought away performance versus a much better side than us - couldn't ask much more of the players than that considering how dire our away form is. First away win in five months!
(Harvey Saunders has a "knack" of winning penalties, shall we say. It's about the only thing he has to offer - terrible footballer. Should have been a sprinter). Best of luck to Bradford for the rest of the year, will miss Valley Parade next year if you (more than likely) go up [or if we go down].

Maynard out.

As a neutral and having viewed the penalty I can see why the ref gave it. Soft perhaps, but it looked like the Tranmere player nicked the ball and then went over the defenders foot. It’s funny you mention that game when Reid was nearly decapitated, because it was almost identical to the game yesterday. We were on a decent run, unbeaten at home. It was all City and Tranmere shithoused a 1-nil win with the aid of some horrendous officiating.
We can't blame the ref for missing chances. We had enough in the first half alone to win 2 games. When players are injured, you need the fringe players to step up, ours haven't and we certainly ran out of ideas after the pen. Well done on a hard fought game but how many times have you won a game where you haven't created a single chance? Would you have been happy if that pen had been awarded against you?Every time we win at Bradford, it's somehow the ref's fault... Depends on how long our key players are out. The reports we are getting don't sound good. The replacements are not stepping up to claim the shirts. Yesterday our opponents didn't create a single chance yet still won the game.I remember feeling like that at times last season when we lost home games we probably should have won- funnily enough against both Bradford and Tranmere. It's Bradfords year though.
Soft pen, and that celebration should be a red card offence.
The Ian Goodison game is a niche inclusion in my top 5 away games of all time. We were rock bottom of the league, nobody gave us a chance and the home atmosphere was incredible, especially after the ref missed Goody's spot of attempted murder. To come through all that and claim the smash and grab was one fantastic day. Karma does come around though - Goodison got himself sent off the next week (probably thought the rules had changed, considering he stayed on the pitch the first time round), and you sent us down last game of the season. But it's the bright spots that make bad seasons bearable, same for yesterday. It was a timely reminder of that run of refereeing decisions in recent years. We've had pretty much the worst strike force in the club's history the last year - it's why we're third bottom. Most of our small pool of wins (especially early on under Adkins) came that way. Walsall absolutely battered us in August but somehow conspired to lose 1-0. Similar at Bromley, who I think had an xG approaching 6, if you believe in that sort of thing. We can't blame the ref for missing chances. We had enough in the first half alone to win 2 games.
