Blimey i'd hate to have seen what its been like before. I watched on ifollow and pretty much every time the ball ran along the ground or someone tried to run with it, it took some noticeable bobbles.
No excuses though we were poor from start to finish and only managed one shot on target (contrary to the online stats, Coburn definitely got one 2nd half which was about the only thing he did all game)
We defended very well today. One things Crosby has improved as we limited Ipswich to two on target and one of them was a penalty! Forrester was immense today.

It has been far worse which considering we are a small side in height limited us massively as only Ellis can head a ball and he was injured half the winter!

At least now we can relax and give the likes of Tommy Mac and Plant a decent go on the pitch for the remaining games without any worries of relegation,

Either way as happy as I am we won today fuck each and every one of these who downed tools and cost a great man in DC his job!
My wife is buzzing on her first Vale game in years about how hard “Gav” worked!

Coburn and Collins have been off the boil for a while now. Whilst we usually have the majority of possession we do very little with it and always likely to concede.
In essence, we always have to work harder for a goal than the opposition do. I don't think many of that team today will be here next season, only seem to turn up v the bigger teams and the better ones are on loan.

To be fair with Massey I’ve never criticised his workrate. My issue with him has always been his technical ability especially his first touch.

Either way best wishes to Nick Anderton, as I said before the game some things in life are more important than a game of football.

Thought we were decent first half. It's difficult for Bristol to get up for a game that meant nothing to them. That being said, they don't half do a lot of that passing for passing sake....I never see the point in it. They had loads of possession but rarely troubled us.

We probably should have scored at least another first half and then second half was a bit of a non event.

Disappointed by how we have been since Christmas as we are capable when we put our minds to it.

We're 100% safe now (even though not mathematically), so I'll enjoy my visit to the Smoke next week.

We looked a division below Cheltenham, which seems appropriate I suppose.

Thought we were in n for an absolute hiding at half time, they let us off the hook in that respect.

I hope no one is hoping we do anyone any favours v Oxford and Cambridge, as they will almost certainly be disappointed. We are fucking useless.

Hard fought win against the Dons. In the first half Fleetwood played some terrific football and should have gone in 2/3 up. Fair play to the visitors who tightened up in the second half and played some good stuff. There are some crackin players in this squad, the overwhelming on contract for next season, sadly I expect to see Dan Batty go

Lincoln, the team of multiple draws heading for a top half finish, fair play

And some idiots wanted Kennedy out.

We’re getting closer. Our run is now 13 wins and a draw from our last 14 games. 2 goals conceded in that time and something like 40 scored.

A crazy run of form. Win at Barnsley on Tuesday and we’d be very very close

You'll do it easily, and so you should. Anything less than automatic promotion for a club with your budget in this league would be abject failure. Best team we've played this season, but so you should be.

Hoping to get rid of Sheffield, Bolton or Derby too. Let's at least get this division back to how League One should be. The wealth divide is ridiculous, bordering on unfair.

Was out Saturday night so couldn't get on here, and it seems to be playing up again.

Anyway - Forest Green are the worst team I've seen this season. They are, by a considerable distance, the worst team I've seen at this level. I am genuinely concerned for them if their big reset in the summer doesn't work out because they offered absolutely nothing on Saturday.

Cheltenham played well and with intensity, and it's great that we've confirmed our position in League 1 for next season, but it was oh so easy in the first half. The second half, we coasted and conceded a silly goal, but we were never in any real danger of a comeback.

Sadly I agree, we were utterly shit, devoid of vision or plan or capability, I would say possibly the worst I've seen us play this season, but, well, it's not the first time we've been hopeless. I think we've just given up now, or at least most of our loan players have. Hopefully the reset works, but the managerial capabilities of DF effectively remain untested.

Cheltenham played skilfully in the first half, but considering what they were up against they could easily have scored a few more. They deserve their survival though, and I have to praise their fans for not rubbing in what a mess we are in - a lot of groups of supporters would not have been half as kind.

What was the thinking behind taking Charlie Savage off? I assumed it was to protect him from the humiliation. One of our numpty fans thought it would be hilarious to slag him off to Robbie on Twitter.

I question the brain power of a lot of football fans sometimes.

Tactical switch, we put on Bernard who's a CB/RB and changed to a back 3 to try and match you up after you kept ripping through our defence.

Other then Peart-Harris I don't think it's fair to say that our loan players have stopped trying, I know Brandon Cooper's dad and he's definitely still working hard and desperate to do well as are Olly Casey and Charlie Savage who if nothing else want to show the right attitude to impress their parent clubs. By all accounts the worst attitudes are coming from some of those who are under contract for next season which is worrying as they'll be hard to shift.
