Yeah Donny battered us tonight, will gladly accept three totally undeserved points.

Sorry Donny fans, that was daylight robbery. You should have been at least 2-0 up at HT.

You could see that knocked the stuffing out of your team and never really recovered. I’m afraid you looked like a team going down tonight. A warm applause for the lockdown legend Knoyle tonight. I wonder what he’s thinking on the bus home.
That’s the problem, it was by far a vast improvement on what we’ve witnessed this season but it’s too little too late. We had 8 players out last night still and need at least 3 more in but it’s all about getting the right people for next season now.

Honourable mention to the 233 Donny fans who travelled last night. I spoke to a few in our supporters club who have been following them for over 40 years and I generally felt sorry for them. We’ve all been there and hopefully you guys will go down rebuild and come back up.

Sad to see what's happened to Kyle Knoyle, looked a shell of himself last night and wasted at centre back (whilst the RB/RWB was having a hard time dealing with Brophy), was delighted when Donny were chasing the game and he wasn't going any further forward than the halfway line given what we know he can do going forward.

Lots of recent ex-Imps on show at AFCW - Palmer, Woodyard, Walker, Raggett, Morrell.

Given the amount of injuries we have, we had zero choice, 3 CH out and the fact we need Rowe further forward meant he was the only player available. I think we’ve only seen glimpses of the player you had due to some poor recruitment, bad management and horrendous injury list. It needs to be remembered that we have been missing between 5 and 9 first team players all season

He looked a shadow of himself didn't he. He's gone from the best RB in league two last season to a makeshift CB in a team going down. He always played with a smile on his face when with us but last night he didn't look happy at all and like you say, his deliveries into the box are fantastic so I was also pleased to not see him charging down the right.

Brophy gave Seaman nightmares all game. Lovely stuff.

Seaman is probably better in midfield but what can you do when there isn’t anyone else, if our players were fit the team yesterday would have looked more like:
Jones
Knoyle Williams Anderson John
Galbraith Close Rowe
Agard/Taylor Okenhibirie Martin
Subs: Bottomley, Owolu, Seaman, Bostock, Smith, Dodoo/Hiwula, Taylor/Agard

Makes me cry looking at that as that would be more than good enough to stay up

Portsmouth were a super save away from a draw with us and a bad miss away from a win. We've played you both in the last week or so and Portsmouth are far and away the better team. Can't see past 3 points going to the south coast.
Spot on with that prediction!!!!

Charlton away tomorrow and the team will be in good spirits after last Saturdays heroics. The 3 'new' players were on show against the Millers and I though all acquited themselves well. Zak Jules was a stand out in the middle, Harrison looks really useful up front and Toto put in a good shift when he came on in the 2nd half
Hopefully one ot two more of the injured players will be in contention for a start but all in all a draw will be a positive result 1-1

Rotherham away for us.

We've played well on the whole in the last few games despite being unable to hold a lead, but it's hard to see past a 2 or 3 goal defeat tomorrow - this is not the sort of game we typically do well in (see also: Sunderland and Wigan away in September).

Away at Plymouth.

In typical Lincoln style we've gone from having options in defence and none up top to options up top and none in defence.

No Walsh, Jackson, Monstma, Bridcutt or Hopper. Bishop has a slight groin issue, which Appleton would ideally like to give him a game off for but with it Rotherham being postponed, he might play him.

Poole and Eyoma likely to start at CB, I'd be amazed if Marquis didn't start up front and I've got a feeling we'll go with what is effectively a front four of Scully, Whittaker, Marquis and Maguire.

For most of the first half of the season we were getting inconsistent performances and poor results but over the last 6 or 7 games, we've got consistent performances but inconsistent result.

Our games against Plymouth recently seem to be quite open and that'll suit us. We'll not keep a clean sheet so will have to score at least two.

Love Maguire, was and still is the sort of c*** you hate if they play against you but love on your team.

Think Marquis is a good addition too, but seems to need handling in a certain way to get the best out of him

Pompey at home today. Fully expecting a draw to keep Lj’s streak of not winning going to 4 games today. However we have signed Patrick Roberts who by all accounts should be good for league one but has hardly played so i would expect to see him on the bench. Also The rumours circulating up here are that Defoe wants to come & everyone at the club have given the green light for the deal but Johnson is the one stopping it from happening with his doubts (He really is full of himself that man). Anyway it would be nice to avenge the swimming bath debacle 4-0 match earlier in the season but i just feel like today will be a 1-1 for some reason. Hope i’m wrong and we get back on a winning run to charge at the autos which Wigan and Rothetham look favourites for. Football is strange and can surprise us though.

Crewe at home today. Their form has picked up with three wins from the last six. While we’re on decent form results wise we got away with it against Lincoln and Doncaster and I think today’s game is a lot tougher than it looks on paper. I want a win obviously but a draw wouldn’t be a bad result.

MK away, despite losing at Cambridge we could just as easily have won with a little luck but that’s the thing you don’t get at the bottom. We look better although still short in numbers. MK have lost a few of their loan players and O’Riley going has to be a big loss for them, I really should feel we will get beat but I’m cautiously optimistic for the first time in a long time.

It will depend on who's back from injury we were ridiculously short last weekend. Playing a rookie right back centre back, a target man striker and a creative midfielder as our full backs and our bench was made up of under 18s who played the night before in the youth cup.

We all expected a few signi gs but that's not happened so were hoping the likes of Murphy, Robertson, Kashket and Williams are back fit.

I can't see beyond a home win for this one.

Our form post covid winter break is patchy, and we're in the midst of overhauling our team for the second time in 6 months. Inconsistency is inevitable and you're one of the top sides in this division with a strong home record.

Another day, another changed line-up, Luke Imp have we managed to put out the same side on consecutive matches this season?

Goalkeeper, Josh Griffiths is out injured and replaced by 18/19? year-old Sam Long who makes his first league start. Defender TJ Eyoma is out and Max Melbourne comes in and no Chris Maguire. Ted Bishop who isn't fully fit is back at right back. A real mismashed defence which won't be able to keep a clean sheet - this score could be anything.

Good to see Marquis start and interesting to see where Cullen plays - looks like attacking midfield? We also have a whopping 6 subs available!

A few players missing and a couple out of position along with a negative formation. Looks like we are doing our best to give Gillingham a result today.

The one thing you don't need when you're away at top of the league and playing fairly shite anyway is for the referee to be a complete c*** but, alas, here we are.

We are definitely nowhere near our best again yet but pleased with how much more solid we have looked playing 3/5 atb for the last game and a half. But after watching the last 18 months of not being able to defend at all its a pleasant surprise. We need to keep this solid foundation and improve going forward in the second half. Expect to see Dapo on fairly imminently

1-1 HT v Morecambe, fair score. We got an early Akinfenwa header, but Morecambe have been playing decent football and look very strong on the break. Could go either way, this one.
